Also u have to take the confidence hashi had when he told everyone that stopping Madara can wait...
Madara states numerous times the only ninja that can defeat him is dead and this is after hes revealed his rennegan tech, ps, and wood release. So now that hashi is alive it's basically saying that Madara is kinda screwed.

It's clear hashirama is going to defeat Madara. The only question is wether Madara is going to fight against hashi again with a tailed beast like a sore loser he is? Because if you ask me, if hashi can freely manipulate bijuus then he can probably somewhat control the juubi cause his cells are the very thing that has Madara and Tobi in control or it.

from what i understand the battle they had was a very close one, it could have gone either way meaning they were not far apart in terms of their abilities, madara is now MUCH stronger now than he ever was so im pretty sure he can defeat hashi, even though he will have to use literally everything in his arsenal to win!
