Why is Karin an Uzumaki?

Serious question, why is she an Uzumaki but has yet to play an important role in the manga? Will she play an important role in the future? Since every Uzumaki in the series has been one way or another vital to the plot, does it follow that she will play a large part too?

Every Uzumaki has been vital plot wise

Mito sealed Kurama

Kushina sealed Kurama

Naruto is the main character

Nagato became the Rinnegan Wielder

But what of Karin? Did Kishi make Karin an Uzumaki and yet intended to relegate her to a secondary role of a healer and sensor? Is it possible that she will be a major player soon like her Uzumaki relatives? Thoughts?

Well considering her comical character I wouldn't blame them, but you have to wonder what Kishimoto truly intended to do with her by being made an Uzumaki.

she represented his loss of humanity.. she cost him the capture of killer bee when he saved her .as a result sasuke looked bad in front of tobi.. then danzo gained the upper hand and sasuke wouldnt save her again and sacrifice his goals.. she represents his decent into darkness

I always suspected that she was made an Uzumaki as an example of how the clan is spread out and no longer united. She's there for the Uzumaki presence. Just one of those random Uzumaki floating around in the world.
