but im tired of characters being like somebody else...

it might be Itachi's farewell gift...but as others stated, they should've appeared when Sasuke had fun with Zetsu...or it was just a simple goodbye, without any tricks...
Kishi will probably keep Sasuke's Susano'o as it is now, with his own weapons; after all, the confused Uchiha achieved EMS, which is a rarity...he'll be unique.
I do believe that Sasuke awakened other powers which we have yet to see...I mean c'mon: a living EMS user with no outrageous techniques? (except Amaterasu ).

Like i said in the OP, Itachi already trusted Sasuke prior to his return to the afterlife and support him whatever he does from now on, therefore Sasuke's safety takes precedence over everything, that's why he probably could have transferred to him the Totsuka and Yata regardless of whatever he decides to do afterwards.

your theory is good and possible to happen, but I just don't think Kishi wants to make Sasuke only sit on a susanoo with the ultimate shield and one shooting with totsuka...
he has to entertain the audience and giving him that I think it would make his character a little boring. Itachi was nerfed (made him sick) possibly to not be too OP and spam susanoo with a ultimate attack/defense. but Sasuke has good chakra, EMS, etc, he wouldn't have any trouble spamming it!! I mean why would he do anything else anyway!?!? is the ultimate shield and a one shooting sword.

I now the transcription seal Itachi used, and you don't have to copy/paste Narutopedia on the thread but seriously who are we to say it does not apply to the transfer of other skills to the desired target? are you not open to the possibility that the transference is not limited to Amaterasu? after all the Totsuka is definitely not an original arsenal of Itachi's Susanoo, so who are we to say that he did not dematerialize the original blade? and what limits the possibility of transferring that and the Yata Mirror from one person to another if they are transferred by the same principle as chakra energy (eg. Amaterasu)

I wouldn't be all too surprised if Itachi had done so, but I am skeptical.

The reason is Naruto and Itachi's conversation before he left to stop Edo Tensei. Itachi learned that Sasuke was intending to destroy Konoha. Despite Itachi deciding to let Naruto handle it, I doubt that he would go and power up Sasuke if he was going to attack the village and tarnish the Uchiha name tht Itachi went above and beyond to preserve. Yes he said that he will always love Sasuke, but I doubt that is a reason to go and give him the power to destroy Konoha.....in fact it could have almost been that way of saying goodbye when you know someone is going to make a very bad error, but you have to let them make their own future!

So pretty much it is easily possible, and not something that would surprise me, but based on the logic and Intel Itachi had just received it seems like it would be stupid of him to do so....then again love makes us do crazy things.

Unfortunately, as stated by the databooks, the weapons never had a physical form to begin with and they exist spirtually... there are accounts of the weapons, but few have ever actually came into contact /seen them and the majority consider them items of myth

Well Itachi didn't really didn't give Amaterasu to Sasuke, that was just a one-shot aimed at getting rid of Tobi, which failed.

and I believe the weapons itself comes with the third state of the Susanoo, and I don't believe it is a thing that you can just taken and infuse into your Susanoo.

As mentioned in the manga that the Totsoka Sword and Yata Mirror are spirit weapons..
I have a feeling that these weapons are binded to the spirits (aka souls) of the shinobi.
Hence, it will not be possible to possess the weapons, unless you have their souls.

That's just my thoughts.
