can EMS sasuke beat nagato

I think it would be interesting. The first question is: Was it JUST Naruto SM that defeated Pain/Nagato? I'd be inclined to disagree. Naruto did take down all but one of the paths, before he was immobilised. Then Hinata jumped in and managed to nearly die, sending Naruto onto a rampage. That made the deva path resort to using Chibaku Tensei, his trump card. Even this was countered by the appearance of the eighth tail. After this, the deva path was drained mostly after the use of Chibaku Tensei, and being battered by Naruto's rampage. Even then, Naruto barely won, managing to slip in his Rasengan just before Shirana Tensei came off of cooldown. This I'd be pretty confident to say would be Naruto's closest victory. Obviously he is now MUCH more powerful, what with the Kyuubi Chakra Mode, and Bijuu Mode. But the question is how powerful is Sasuke in comparison? I don't think it's quite right to compare the two as of yet; we haven't seen them fight each other in their current states. But my guess is Sasuke is above the level Naruto was at when he fought Pain, so I'd say he has a fair chance. If I've slipped up on my knowledge anywhere, let me know.

No, but Obito stated that his eyes would surpass Nagato's. I have no idea how that is possible when the Rinnegan is best, perhaps Rikudou's elder son have more powerfule yes? Meh idk.

But Sasuke will obviously surpass Nagato.
