IKR? just the other day I saw someone complaining about how the Uzumaki temple with mask was an asspull, this honestly makes me respect Kishi a helluva lot more, one can only wonder how many other misconceptions are waiting to be cleared by a proper translation

I found it weird how the Uzumaki had all those important masks in there.
Anyone could take them. But if the other masks, protect the important one, that makes quite some sense.
If someone puts on the shiki fujin mask by coincedence though(just by picking random mask), would that activate the reaper?

No, you have to look through the eyes of the mask, at the Tablet of the Uchiha clan which was made by the Sage of the six Path's himself.
what gets me is how drastic that info was, and it gave the story more depth, seriously, the differences that you get from the unpaid translations are staggering, makes me lol @ the fact ppl argue so damn hard off of PURE speculation and interpretation from poor translations tbh

Let me play devil's advocate, Noh performances are also done in temples to raise money

I wondered if it had to be done there or that they went there to look at tablet with EMS.
So the main purpose for them was to go to the tablet to summon the reaper. Could you link that page (from normal scans, cause the others cant be linked I understand).
It makes it all more interesting for sure

It says Uzumaki Noh Mask Hall, a Hall is usually part of a larger structure: a palace or temple. So the place Sasuke and Oro went to is still a part of the uzumaki temple.

It wasn't said. There are three instances that give it away though.
1. Orochimaru wanted to go to the shrine right after gaining the mask.
2. Sasuke said 'What's important is what's beneath', after he removed the barrier from the steps to the shrine.(He had read the scroll and knew the requirements.)
3. Orochimaru stood right in front of the Tablet and put on the mask whilst looking at the Tablet.
Can't get much clearer than that.

I think you should have the thread title changed, it is misleading, the mask was found in the hall that was part of the temple, the mask was still found inside the temple in that specific hall.

Yeah i know, that is why i said it has not been said literally.
It could have been the case that they needed to be in there for EMS reading the tablet for example, cause how do you read a tablet, with a mask? but apparently the masked person with the shiki mask, needs to look at the tablet.
Interesting to see that tablet shares more purposes than reading it with dojutsu.
When you want the reaper to posses you, you need it as well.
