new itachi's illness theory

based off the last chapter we learn that when an uchiha loses love a special chakra in the brainmoves them towards darkness
what im getting at is that the fact that itachi has the mangekyou so he has had to endure alot of that special chakra fighting against his brain(he is fighting the darkness)
it thus caused him to become ill and then you know the rest......

Itachi doesn't really have any vendettas towards his actions or the village though. He did what he thought was best for his clan and the village. The only way to stop a civil war was to stop the Uchiha. Sasuke also lived so I doubt he has any regrets.

Given the fact that he died with a smile on his face on two separate occasions, I don't think he really has deep hatred he's trying to battle.
