Okay here is the list of the manga/anime I have already read or still follow and the respective characters I like and I want you to suggest a new one in the same style. Here goes the list:

1)Death Note -- Yagami Light
2)Liar game -- Shinichi Akiyama (my avatar :p)
3)Code Geass-- Lelouch vi Brittania
4)Monster -- Johann Liebert
5)Samurai Deeper Kyo-- Demon-Eyes-Kyo (yes the nick come from him because they say I have a demon like glare :p)
6)Code Breaker-- Ogami Rei / Toki
7)Fullmetal Alchemist -- (no one in particular but it's a nice series :p)
8)Noblesse-- Cadis Etrama di Raizel / Frankenstein

Also, as you can see from my signature, my favourite series is House M.D. , because I can relate to him in many ways.

So given all those fire away :p

In no real order

Berserk
Shinigami of The East (the sequel to this is Immortal Rain)
Akame Ga Kiru
Zetman (anime)
Neon Genesis Evangelion (anime)
Jackal
Vagabond
Area D
AIKI (freaking hilarious)
Desert Punk
Jackals
Gantz
O-Parts Hunter (otherwise know as Satan 666)
Wolf's Rain (anime)
Bullet Armors (only 4 chapters out so far, but it's damn good.)
Soul Eater
Blood Lad
Cowboy Bebop (anime)
Attack On Titan
Drifters
Samurai Champloo (anime)
Ubell Blatt
Claymore
Rurouni Kenshin
Oniwakamaru The Visitor
Outlaw Star (anime)
Akira (I read the manga, but there's an anime as well.)

I could keep going, but I think that should be enough to keep you busy for quite a while.

Edit: Sorry, I didn't read the first part of your post, some of these aren't even remotely close to what you're looking for. lol

Read the Soul Eate manga. It's my all time favorite.

Do not watch the anime. It was cancelled and went fillerly beforehand. Pales in comparision so bad to the great manga.

Haha it will take some time even to go through all of them and choose which I like and which not :p
I will do so though, thanks for the list.

Hmm, you can try out , but it's been going on for a very long time and has more than 250 episodes. Though I assure you that it will suit your tastes.

is also a great mini series of 12 episodes + one OVA.

One of my all time favourites is 's anime adaptation, though I have to warn you; it has a kind of slow pace, is historical and pretty gore. But it's one of the best series I have ever watched.

Oh! There's ! It's a 24 episode mini series that depicts the story of the Iga and Kouga clans based on actual historical characters with the ninja and jutsu elements in it. Don't miss it!

If you enjoyed HSOTD you owe it to yourself to check out Highschool DXD. It's equally awesome, if not better.

Infinite stratus

Too gundam style at first sight but I guess I have to look at it a little more deeply to reach a conclusion.

A little problem with the art with this (a little too childish in my opinion) but again, too early to judge.

I know of Gintama, I have it downloaded. So thanks for reminding me that.

12 episodes only? Hm..bummer.

No problem with gore stuff, slow pace or history. So maybe yes.

Ninjas ha? (Kishimoto style ninjas or ninja type of ninjas? :p). It should be good then I 'll check it.

Screw you then punk... IM OUT ............

Haha I like the vulgar style :p

To each his own mate :p

The art is in the beginning, but it really finds itself as time goes on. If you read the first chapter and then the most recent, it's like two totally different artists. Soul Eater now has this Tim Burton type art style. I'd say the art changes like 40 chapter or so in. I may be way off, I have no idea, but it becomes really amazing. I didn't like the beginning art, but it adapted the anime style and took it to extreme. The art now is something else entirely, but yeah, it's lame in the beginning compared to what it is now. It's a complete 180.

Oh, if you're looking for long running ones I definitely recommend .

Regarding Basilisk; ninja type ninjas. They have unique kekkei genkais, are all adults, the anime is somewhat gore and it depicts them killing off each other for a greater plot. What else would one want? <3

Thanks for the additional info, it might prevent me from dropping it.
