I thought the second season was already in the making? Even so most of the light novels have already been released, so if you really wanna know what's gonna happen next you can just go read it. Some of them even have bits of art scattered about.

I know you only see one example of the old style and only one of Maka of the new, but you can tell how it's so different. It lost it's childlish nature. Everything looks more mature, more slick, and those are the normal scenes. I swear, seeing the crazy scenes now, especially with Chrona, are insane. (No pun intended).

Maybe those aren't the best examples, but the art has changed so much. Even the creator has commented on it. I love love love it xd

Regarding Basilisk; ninja type ninjas. They have unique kekkei genkais, are all adults, the anime is somewhat gore and it depicts them killing off each other for a greater plot. What else would one want? <3

I used to watch Rurouni Kenshin anime when I was...13? 14? But I stopped after Shishio dies so I haven't watched it all. But I liked it and possibly will appreciate it more now.

Manga based works for me, most of the times I enjoy the manga more than the anime.
i read the plot a bit, it seems much less satanic then the title indicates so maybe I 'll give it a try.

You can skip the manga and watch the anime. The anime is very addictive. Trust me, It's worth it.

Both 20th Century Boys and Monster actually have pretty good stories but it's not something that can be rushed. I tried speed reading and I had a bad time. X_X plus you have to like those type of stories. Maybe just read about 5 chapters of each of them to see how it'll be even though IIRC they get better as they go along.

I'm personally half way through 20th CB and it' great so far.
