I can not, CAN NOT see Itachi Uchiha with a woman, for one thing. And, no, it's not because I'm a fangirl orgasming all over the prospect of a canon yaoi shipping. He just doesn't seem to be the type attracted to them. If anything, Itachi would? want a challenge, somebody who could match him. Which brings me to my next point: Shisui.

Again, look at my profile picture, make your assumptions, yes, yes, but think about it. As far as we know, Shisui w!as so close to Itachi that not only were they best friends, but he thought of Shisui as his older brother. That requires implicit trust, especially from an Uchiha. From anyone, really. And Itachi seemed a bit melancholic when he saw Shisui's eye in the crow, for whatever reason. Itachi built his bloody beliefs around this guy for Jashin's sake! And to top it off, when Tobi said lover, he used a gender-neutral term "Koi."

It may just be me. But there had to be SOMETHING more there, acted upon or not. Something deeper than friendship. I'm not some twelve year old shounen-ai maniac either. I'm considering this rationally. There may be somethings I left out but whatever. What do you all think? I wanna know. And ignorant replies will be ignored. You have been warned.

I do, actually. All the time. But Shisui most likely activated it before Itachi, hence the Koto Amatsukami that Shisui gifted to Itachi within his eye. And while.this is all mainly surmised on my part, what I've gathered from the series states that Itachi awakened the MS with Shisui's death. Sasuke.claims to have never seen it before that day, and when asked why he wasn't present at the meeting, he claimed, roughly, "To reach a new level."

I would die to know how Shisui gained his MS. Maybe he was a member of ROOT? But he probably wouldn't be adept at making friends with anyone, much less itachi if the training methods we've seen exhibited in ROOT existed back then.

I believe they said it multiple times, if not only once. "He died silently," was what Itachi said.

True with the name, but I'm not implying he was gay. I'm only stating my opinion that he probably only had a fondness.for Shisui, disregarding other males and females alike accordingly. I probably.should have posted that in the first post. ^_^` All apologies.

Nah, I think it's more likely they had the kind of relationship Madara and Izuna had. Just brotherly, but very deep. Highly unlikely Kishimoto would include a gay pairing like that in a manga aimed at 12-15 year old boys.

Maybe. Like I said, I'm only surmising. But who knows? Naruto and Sasuke locked lips within the first few episodes! I'm kidding, but you never know. I've heard the ending of Naruto will be implied NaruSasuNaru. Some.form of the pairing, anyways. But rumours are things with wings.

This Shisui-Itachi business should be cleared up all too soon. However I am in agreement with the manner in which Itachi reacted towards Shisui's eye. #pleaseandthankyou

-sasuke; after finding out about Itachi's past he realized that his brother really loved him. Intern making him love itachi/Lost
-Shisui; fodder that just happened to have the most Haxed genjutsu ever
-Itachi: lost a great friend whom he loved like a brother, or some shid like that
-Obito Watched his best friend Penetrate the girl of his dreams >.> i wanted it to sound like that
-Kakashi; tbh i dont think it awakened from rin's death maybe from Obito's ms awakening Linked.
-Madara and Izuna; if i remember correctly they killed their parent or some shid whom i'd expect them to love but a lost for the clan

You have an interesting topic, but I doubt it. Alright lets analyze what the most recent chapter showed us. The Second Hokage said that "the Uchiha are the ones that valued love and friendship above all else..." He further stated that because of this they sealed this attribute of theirs off. With this being said Itachi was probably one of the few Uchihas that knew this truth, as clarified by the Third stating that Itachi was very inquisitive about Uchiha ancestry and things of the like, and also the fact that he achieved the MS. With this knowledge, Itachi embraced this innate love that the Uchiha tried to hide from future Uchihas. Not to mention, Itachi on top of that was a pacifist, and was very caring so he was probably a really reliable friend because of the knowledge that he attained and his nature that probably developed as the Shinobi war continued during his youth.

I don't know... I for one am not the type to compare family love and friendship bonds to lovers. I find almost anything stronger than love that can be viewed as lust or sexual. It's not stable. His love would definitely be brotherly for Shisui.
