How do people manage to favor characters that have no development?

This is by no means a hate thread. I would just like to know how people manage to favor characters that have little to no development. Like characters that have only been in the series just to get hyped up (Hashirama). I like those characters but they aren't my favorite. How can people like characters that got like only one panel of shine (MITO)

Ex:
Minato
Kushina
Hashirama
Tobirama
Mito
Izuna
Tenten (no offense guys )
Madara (before he came back in chapter 559)
Any Jinchuuriki that isn't Naruto Gaara or Bee


There many others that I can think of but those are just some that come to mind.
Anyways I'm just curious, again this isn't by any means a thread to hate on characters or people's opinions.

Leave Tobirama out of this...

The fact that we haven't seen much of them leaves us curious. And when we get statements of them that have yet to be proven invalid repeated over and over, it's hard to go against those statements.

They're awesome.

All of those characters you listed are pretty interesting characters. I don't see how you couldn't like them.

it's not about liking them, I like them too. I'm talking about claiming them as your favorite, they haven't really had any kind of development throughout the series.

I think maybe you have a different definition for development than other people. Appearing in a panel isn't all that counts as development. Relationships to events in the story and other characters and their role in history also counts as development.

Natrual to some yes, but not all..I personally don't care enough. I have to actually see their actions.

 

[KGB Kakuzu]

Well before the last couple arcs I have always loved Hinata for her personality (minus the extreme shyness...though I could relate to it). I also love the gentle fist fighting style.


I loved how Kakuzu was just an absolute monster who was just destroying everyone until back up showed up to effectively troll him. He looked boss (cloak and a mask). Despite his stupid money deal, he actually didn't underestimate opponents...fought tactically (once again until Naruto showed).

First off Han just looks badass. Red steam armour that resembles Samurai armour, he has on his head a red Kasa (hat). His face is also partially masked (I'm a fan of masks: Kakuzu, Tobi-pre Obito, Haku, Kakashi, Zabuza. Also his steam pack looked like a scorpion tail. His steam based ninjutsu really sounded cool. Han practitioned the FALCON KICK (see Signature). Also as a tailed beast he was the only one to resist Obito's control. He also managed to do a number on Bee.

Who Knows? I personally don't care for anyone on the list or anyone who has had hardly any development besides Izuna

Why people like Minato? He was a genius, the prophecy child, so Jiraiya thought, he invented at least 3 jutsu, he's a Hokage, he's Naruto's dad, etc... That's why people, myself included, like characters such as Minato.
