Danzo: People believe he made hard choices for the village :sy: That was just an illusion, fabricated to hide his true motives, a Konoha built on his own principles, the world under his heel indefinitely. He did everything and anything to achieve that goal. KA the summit. Plot Hiruzen's assassination. He did all these things and lots more. He commanded patriotic leaf ninjas under the same illusion, and sent them to their death with the belief that their sacrifices would be beneficial for the village, when in fact they would only be beneficial for the progress of his own goals.
I'm not here to prove that though, I've already done that in one of my threads, feel free to look it up.
My question here is, Danzo did everything for his own selfish reasons under the illusion that he wanted the best for Konoha.
On the other hand, you have Orochimaru, who did pretty much the same thing, he openly slaughtered people, manipulated them, used them, etc etc. But Orochimaru never lied about his true intentions, he made it clear that everything he did, was for his own profit, for himself. He took in lost and lonely souls and gave them a purpose under his command, ex: Kimimaro, Kabuto, the guy that Shino destroyed. But he made it clear to them, that they were his pawns, and they were meant to live their lives serving Orochimaru.
So who was worse out of these two? The low life who hid his true intentions under a veil of selflessness? Or the guy who is pure evil but doesn't hide it at all, he's actually sort of proud of it.
