if I'm not mistaken kakashi don't use his ninjutsu before that right?
I remember when he used his ninjutsu on zabuza kakashi got the upper-hand. He could kill zabuza but haku intercept it with his body to protect zabuza. The thing is in part1 they used taijutsu a lot.
In manga part2 kakashi use his ninjutsu and it proved same as before. Kakashi>zabuza.

Why cant people get over the fact that Zabuza > Kakashi at that time sure Kakashi is stronger now but hes had years of training and powerups, Zabuza woke up in a dead body meaning he is still the same as episode 19 or w/e.
Kakashi had so much training and powerups compared to Zabuza who came back as a zombie who couldn't even control his body so IMO it was just kabuto using him as a game controller in the background but Zabuza lacked training and instinct, I think he was good at observing, stealth, sneaky. Being a real ninja not some DBZ space time bull crap, he barely used ninjutsu during that anyways.
ehhh its a toss up really and both can be kage as you see when they fought on the brigde they were about equal more or less since kakashi had a sharigan but that doesnt help with mist jutsu. Even fight even overall even even even

kishi had to use plot to defeat Zabuza he realized that Zabuza was too much for kakashi and team 7 so he warped zabuza's character and allowed him to get screwed over twice
