I don't think he is blind

Just like Kenpachi in beach when Zorro finally opens his eye , it will release some demonic aura for his new power up so far we haven't seen him go all out since time skip

perhaps he will show this theory in the current arc or a future one

anyone else agree

i find this unlikely..

it would be more likely that if he isnt blind that he has been training one of his eyes to be more sensitive and make his eye stronger..

its a common thing for a optician to cover one of a persons eye in order to strengthen the other one by having just the one eye work on its own..

this is a more likely scenario than demonic aura :|

I think it's gonna be a night time eye. In the future some enemy is going to make it absolutely black and no one will be able to see anything, then Zoro will open his eye which has been presumably in darkness for the last 2 years which will be able to see through the darkness allowing Zoro to beat the enemy.

I think it's either going to be one of the baboons eyes that when opened allows him copy a few of Mihakws move he saw him use, or one of Mihawks eyes for the whole eagle eye ability.

I just think the eye is gone.. slashed in half.

And it is probably due to Zoro's proud attitude, with him never ever backing down from a fight, or turn his back to an enemy, not even if he is way in over his head, not even if it's just a training session, makes no difference for Zoro.

And Mihawk is not the type to hold back at all or take pity in his training, so the eye is just a casultie of their training together, and both of them just shrugged it off as if it was nothing and continued.

Zoro is not a person whom would cry over an lost eye or even attempt to make up for it, other than just train that much harder saying.. Well, that's my own fault isn't it? Should have watched better out, i'll just make sure it doesn't happen again.
And Mihawk wouldn't want to train a person whom cries over a lost eye... so yeah, that's kind of it.

Agreed, He was willing to cut of his own legs on that cake Mr. 3 made and to cut his arm off in enies lobby. So an eye is nothing XD

The only 'super power' he unlocked with that eye is a life lesson that he should be careful when playing with swords.

considering Oda has made not one of the straw hats not even the inquisitive and honest and blunt Luffy question Zoro regarding it

[i mean you would think losing one eye, and hoping to beat a Man who is known for having two remarkable eyes would be a serious handicap]

I think he was injured by Mihawk, and had to continue training with a bandage or something etc....

This lead him to be able to fight with one eye, however once the eye healed, he noticed a massive increase in strength etc....

most likely related to his demon aurora,

I mean :

Pirate King Gol.D Roger
Future Pirate King Monkey D Luffy

The Dark King Silvers Rayliegh
Pirate Hunter, or since he is a pirate now, The Demon Roronoa Zoro

parallel?

The F up all eye transplant theories.

Plausable theories are
1. Its just a scar(but one has to wonder wldnt Mihawk also consider Zoro a boring fight same as an armless Shanks who aparently didnt loose any strenght and actually uses 1 blade remember both eyes help see better where as a second arm to a single handed sword user is just there for balancing better and the occasional push the sword away parry).

It houses a power up theories begin here

2. Its for CoO and or a boost in regular obesevatory skill(this is an ok theory and well pirates have been known to do similar with eye patches for in darkness sight regulation)
3. Its to do with Asura and when opened we are gonna get some massive power boost to even bloodlust ravaging crazy.( I dont like the ravaging out of controll part myself coz I mean Zoro always seems in control when in a fight and even when Asura leaks out it wasnt that he lost control of his powers rather it was more him just itching to slash his enemy for badmouthing or what ever Kaku did moments before. I like it more along with what makes chearie old Rayleigh worthy of a moniker such as "Dark King" cld it have to do with more stuff like Asura or is it maybe when he is serious he is ruthless. All I know I want to see the area around Zoro darken a lot when he opens his eye and his hakairyoku goes thru the roof and we get some Daishikinkan that rivals Fuji's trap holes but in a more slash manner than a hole).

4. Another favourite of myn is the one about Zoro's Fear projecting ability on his opponents( so like what happened to Monet, think of he opens the eye and the world kinda darkens and the opponent has their fears pulled out from within their deepest parts of mental phsycy and as in the moment they are suffering their worst fear conteplation style Zoro does a fly blade attack that rivals those Mihawk was just yawning away at MF. This wld b like CoC in a way but this useful even vs pple that are in yo tier in strenght and even capable of causing doubt in those above u. This cld later b mixed in with CoC to form a shnasty run away from me nxt time u see me after u wake up from the 11day comma u will b under after i blast u with my concourous plus fear projecting spirit.

1 eye makes him more badass and that's why he keeps it closed.

I think that he lost it has a higher chance than any other prediction we saw.

Has anyone ever thought about this...maybe he lost it?

Ohh why is Sanji now covering his right eye instead of left *gasp* Rinnegan!!!!!

Zoro is too proud to be copying Mihawk's hawk eye or any kind of transplant.

Zoro is always fighting his enemies handicapped. He'll beat Mihawk with one eye whereas Mihawk has two extraordinary eyes.
