I am certain that there is something with his eye. I really don't think, that scar has destroyed his vision!

I bet he is capable of opening it somehow, which will upgrade his senses severely making him faster. Also his swords skills may be much better, than what we have seen, it's hard to tell. I'm fairly certain we will get to see it in this arc. It's really nice of Oda to keep excitement like this

I could also see Usopp or Franky doing something new and wild. I am guessing, when the factory is going to be destroyed by Franky, we will see some serious stuff!

a few hints have been thrown by Oda with Zoro's post skip tchs being stronger variations of his pre skip tchs like 36pondo ho now being 360poundo ho from thisits like Zoro got 10times stronger when he is in chill mode, when he gets serious im sure it will b awesome.

I'm pretty sure his scarred eye is there to set up his observation Haki which hasn't been shown yet but has been hinted at since pre time skip. Think about it he's seen attacks coming with his eyes closed, and has said he doesn't need his eyes to fight, but this could also just be Oda's go at the typical master swordsman hyperbole as well.
