ok so guy's i was thinking we saw what luffy and sanji learned in those two years

1- luffy's all three type of haki almost full control of his gears( not being a midget after gear3 ) and 2 gearing part of his body so he won't get tired so soon

2 sanji i'm not sure about hell memories but everybody is talking about it so :eww: and being as fast as mermaid and learing gepo or sky walk (blue walk )

BUT still we have not seen almost anything from zoro the srtongest atack he used so far was crossing the six paths against the karken ... but sierously like we havn't seen anything he was low deffing every anemy he faced

he must have waiting for something really big ya know

it maybe just me being a huuuge fan of zoro i would love to hear your thoughts though :O

sorry for my bad english :(:p

haven't been any real big fights.. I have a feeling we'll see what he can do during the dressrosa arc u_u

remember... Fishman island was just a island of fodder pirates and a fishman luffy took out, and punk hazard was a island of fodder and scientist.. luffy took out >_> but dressrosa should be different. (since DD's crew is there.)

As far as I remember Zoro knows some type of Haki it's obvious and Zoro doesn't really need to show his true power against weaklings, he needs a real challenge to show what he has learned just another badass trait that Zoro has.

Zoro did show some cool techniques in Fishman-Island plus confirmed he had haki during his fight with Monet/end of FI arc.

I want to see Asura dude but let's save that for the next arc. (Wano-Country)

He probably took Asura further and has more Asura Techniques. Although I doubt any of the M3 have shown all that they have to offer.

Luffy doesn't have lightning based attacks except for the El Thor move in Strong World, but that was caused by an external source (the storm) and not by Luffy's doing

Actually Luffy used an electric base attack on Chinjao to defeat him. I think it was something like El Thor Elephant Gun.

Anyway none of the Monster Trio have actually gone all out yet or even remotely showed anything really. I'm sure Sanji has stronger variations of Diable.

Luffy has practically 1 shotted all the main enemies in each arc so far so we know he hasn't shown everything yet.

And Zoro we haven't seen any new moves really because he's been fighting fodder and no real opponent has come and challenged him.

That's just impact of a big haki clash. what's next Luffy with ice powers ?

The fire is somewhat explainable because of the ace relationship and that he trained for it and the the compressed rubber causing heat. but two elements without explanation is just weird.

Or does Garp use lightning too:

It bugs me how you can ignore these two pages in the exact same chapter.

As you can see Luffy clearly says THOR and besides by the looks of things Luffy's elemental attacks come from his haki so maybe Garp did use Lightning but you know as he didn't name his attack...

But again it clearly states 'Thor' which has only been used for Luffy's lightning attacks...so the way I see it Luffy has the ability to use lightning based attack. But I suppose there will be an explanation as to why Luffy can use lightning attacks eventually.

Dude that argumentation is so thin I can read the newspaper through it.

Just because Luffy says thor, it has to be a lightning move ? And your argument was because all his thor attacks are lightning based ?

With all you mean 1 and that 1 was in a movie, now I don't want to bring the canon non-canon discussion to this so let's assume it;s canon. Then you can clearly see in the movie that Luffy's lightning comes from the storm cloud and that haki is nowhere to be seen.

That brings me to the other point because suddenly you say that haki is the factor that produces lightning. Well that is odd that Luffy used a thor axe with lightning but without haki.

But when I show you a similar page of garp landing the same blow instead of the obvious explanation that it is oda's way of drawing impact, just like:

you're going for the hard way and not giving just Luffy but also Garp suddenly unexplainable lightning powers.

Yeah that seems waaay more plausible, good point. meh must be haki, because everything unexplained can be solved or is haki or Sabo.

As far as I see that's a lightning attack but it's probably something related to Conqueror's Haki, which is yet to be explained.

Look at this scan.

Same effect there too and then Diamante says that "Conqueror's Haki butting heads". A clash of conqueror's Haki.

Immediately after that Chinjao said to Luffy "So you are capable of using the Conqueror's Haki". Meaning their was something special about that attack, which may be that "lightning".

Why it happened when Garp and Chinjao clashed? Probably Garp has CoC too, He did said at Marineford when Luffy used Haki that "So he really was born with it". It shows in a way that he had it too.

Idk how far you are but this may have spoilers.
In the Fishman Arc he was as strong and quick as a drugged up Hody Jones. Fishmen are already supposed to be stronger than humans while on land, add on that the water advantage and the steroids, Hody should have won no diff, instead Zoro won no diff and he was underwater and outnumbered.

In PH he showed haki strong enough to cut Logia types.

First of all, sorry for double posting but I didn't see this when I replied to the OP.

Luffy's THOR attack from the movie was aided by Usopp. People seem to forget or ignore the fact that Usopp created the possibilty for THOR. Start at :25, there was a SNOW STORM then Usopp shoots Hissatsu Tenryuu Boshi(Heavenly Dragon Star) and a blue "dragon" goes flying into the clouds which explodes into lightning. Without that attack from Usopp there would be no lightning for Luffy to make THOR.

Well considering the only move we've seen Luffy use that has the word 'Thor' in it was a lightning based move it's only a logical assumption that when Luffy uses 'Thor' in a move it is a lighting attack.

Also yes I don't like to bring movies into Canon either however why would Oda confuse people in this way? When it's easy to interpret the reason Luffy said 'Thor' was so fans could link it to the movie attack another thing is Luffy had to use a thundercloud 'before' Time Skip we have no idea what Luffy's power's can do now.

Again Luffy couldn't use Haki two years ago so the point is irrelevant however he did have the thunderstorm.

It's not really an obvious explanation with Garp of course I see it as just shockwaves from the hits but Garp doesn't name his attack, however luffy did.

Also Haki has been mysterious from the moment it was introduced none of us have any idea what Haki is truly capable of only Oda does for instance how does Sanji ignite his leg without spinning after time skip? wasn't the whole Diable Jambe only capable due to Sanji spinning?

As far as I see that's a lightning attack but it's probably something related to Conqueror's Haki, which is yet to be explained.

Maybe but again Luffy definitively used the word 'Thor' and I can't imagine it's just a coincidence that Oda would use the same word for both attacks without them both being lighting based attacks.

But you bring an interesting point Conqueror's Haki is a mystery we know it can damage things but to what scale truly?

First of all, sorry for double posting but I didn't see this when I replied to the OP.

No I understand Ussop caused the thunder cloud 'pre timeskip' but as I said above Luffy hasn't shown us all of his attacks yet so we don't know what Luffy can do, the whole point is why would Luffy use the exact same words unless the attacks where of similar based element.

Of course there's been no explanation yet as to why he can use lightning because Oda doesn't want to give away to much about Luffy's power until he fights the major antagonist of the arc. personally I find it intriguing if Oda is trying to add elemental powers to Luffy.

Personally though I believe Haki is the key to it all from Sanji's Diable Jambe to Zoro's Asura there are to many unanswered questions surrounding Haki to rule anything off.

In the manga it was confirmed he has Haki and Oda later confirmed in the SBS that he has a Color of Armaments affinity.

Also pretty much most of the techs he used so far were upgraded versions: Phoenix Cannon, Dragon Twister, Lion's Song etc. this is indicated also by him expanding their names.

For example:

Dragon Twister => Black-Rope Great Dragon Twister

Demon Slash => Purgatory Demon Slash

108 Pound Phoenix Cannon (3 swords, so 36 per sword) => 360 Pound Phoenix Cannon (one sword, with other words its power got x10 per sword).

So far Zoro didn't had to transcend himself like he did before the time-skip simply because everyone he fought after the time-skip were weaker than him. Before the time-skip he fought people who were on the same level or even higher than him and to beat them he had to transcend himself and his opponent during the fight. Still Oda made it very obvious that his fundamental basics got severely upgraded. If you would use the Phoenix Cannon as a measuring staff for all his attacks, he got 10 times stronger.
