i'm not a Luffy or Zoro fan my favorite character is Ace and Usopp
but lets be real here Oda said "zoro and luffy are equal and i'm about to prove you all it's still the case.


People say during the water 7 arc luffy surpassed zoro because of gear second....:heh:

luffy is faster than zoro that's a fact but! zoro has showed way more reflex feats than luffy
kuma is faster than luffy.

kuma speed:Massively hypersonic+ (was able to react to a bloodlusted pre-timeskip G2 Luffy from a meter range or less and send him on a vacation), higher when using his ability to repel himself (fast enough that Luffy and Ivankov were unable to perceive him move or react while he moved, also claimed to be lightspeed, but that is very likely hyperbole)

people bear in mind zoro fought him alone back at thriller arc while luffy was taking a nap.

People say zoro can't touch luffy with his swords because luffy's armaments haki is better than zoro

Oda:Zoro is a armament haki specialist,luffy Haoshoku Haki and Sanji observation haki

so that theory can be thrown in the window

Luffy is the strongest because he fights the strongest

DUUUUH he's the captain and btw luffy is always fucked up when he finishes his fights while zoro is

I have to say it would be very close. I think zoro can sustain more damage and has a higher endurance. But I think luffy wins in pure strength and power. I think luffy would take it though, very high difficulty.
That being said, zoro did say he'd only follow someone stronger than him.
