Zombie Invasion Part 2

[The Mockingjay]

With the metal between panels the girl is able to use her body weight in order to bend the roof panel enough that she can climb the crates she is sharing the container with and free herself form the back of the lorry. From the roof of the truck, she looks around as she takes in the first gasp fresh air she'd had in weeks. From her position, shock. The world she had hoped to escape was still all around her, as she stared outward into the flaming world she couldn't help but cry. The shock, coupled with the pain, caused her to pass out on the roof on the vehicle which had apparently been left in the middle of a residential street.

 

[Never]

Jerry:

Jerry turns around and shouts to Genma*
What's the matter?
Wait, what's that sound?
*He hears the zombies growling and goes to reach for his knife but he stops and looks away letting his hand rest again.*
Leave it Genma. If it doesn't pose a threat don't kill it. Let it rot...
*Jerry turns and continues forward feeling around on the ground again.*

"Yeah."

The room suddenly becomes much brighter than before, considering it was nearly pitch black, the match was firmly between Genma's fingers.

"He has a piece of wood driven through his skull. Now lets get outta here."

 

[The Mockingjay]

A shiver passes through the girl, still passed out atop the lorry she had been trapped in. The shiver, although slight, sent the girl body rolling down the wind-shield of the vehicle and subsequently onto the ground.

Ronnie sighed softly as he followed Jerry and Genma. "Sometimes i wonder why we bother. More zombies every day. How the hell is it even possible? youd think theyd run out of people to infect eventually."

 

[Tsuna...]

"Yeah."

The room suddenly becomes much brighter than before, considering it was nearly pitch black, the match was firmly between Genma's fingers.

"He has a piece of wood driven through his skull. Now lets get outta here."

Jerry:

*Jerry looks back at Genma and then nods forward*
Take the lead, I'll be right behind you. Also, guys, don't fire your guns down here. Not unless you want to be shell shocked.

Ronnie sighed softly as he followed Jerry and Genma. "Sometimes i wonder why we bother. More zombies every day. How the hell is it even possible? youd think theyd run out of people to infect eventually."

They haven't run out yet Ronnie... We're still here.

 

[The Mockingjay]

The impact wakes her, and through her daze she makes out a figure approaching from the distance. Her hand raises to her head and becomes soaked in blood. It takes all she has to roll herself under the truck and away from the oncoming monster.

 

[Souji]

Sulli racing, she tried to tread as quietly as possible, dont get caught!. Her body shakes as she made her way through to the main road. Some ways further down her street, she heard a metal clank, immediately she scanned the area for more infected, and surely enough more were attracted by the noise. She was about to get going until she spots someone fighting the infected off.

"Shit, I'm gonna die,"

Bolting down the street, she reaches the stranger, helping him by skewering the last zombie around him on the head.

"You alright, mate?"

Thomas was quiet as he rubbed his face. He looked up At Sulli. Comforting to know that there was still some concern for the common good, despite the crumbling of society.

Then again, it could be someone trying to facilitate their own safety in numbers.

Screw over thinking things sometimes.

"I... I'm fine. Thanks."

He wearily gets up, looking defeated.

Jerry:

*Jerry looks back at Genma and then nods forward*

Ronnnie clenched his fists

"Well they wont get me without a fight. I said a long time ago...if i go down im taking as many with me as i can. Its what my brother wouldve done."

-grips dog tags around his neck-

 

[The Mockingjay]

The girls luck then changes. There is an open drain beneath the lorry into which she drags herself, somehow making it to the bottom of the ladder she falls dizzy on her legs and hits the wall hard with her already damaged shoulder. From this position, she does not move. Instead she just leans, without a sound or slight movement she merely leans against the wall, up to her knees in dirty brown water.

 

[Irie]

Thomas was quiet as he rubbed his face. He looked up At Sulli. Comforting to know that there was still some concern for the common good, despite the crumbling of society.

Then again, it could be someone trying to facilitate their own safety in numbers.

Screw over thinking things sometimes.

"I... I'm fine. Thanks."

He wearily gets up, looking defeated.

"Good"

She gave him a weak half smile. Being honest to herself, she admitted she had no clue of what to do, and by the looks of this guy, he didn't know either. She walks quietly trying to scout any cars that weren't that badly damaged that they could use.

Nothing.

I guess we're travelling on foot then... "mate, you alright to walk?"

She examined him for any marks

 

[Tsuna...]

Ronnnie clenched his fists

"Well they wont get me without a fight. I said a long time ago...if i go down im taking as many with me as i can. Its what my brother wouldve done."

-grips dog tags around his neck-

Jerry:

That's good to hear, Ronnie.
*Jerry turns his head to glance at Ronnie and gives him a quick nod*

 

[Never]

Genma nods and takes the lead, covering the flame with his other hand so it didn't go out, even tho there was no breeze they were still moving.

"This is much better. Even if I can see only two more meters in front of myself, it gives me chance to shit myself if a dead guy jumps out."

 

[The Mockingjay]

Still unable to move, the girl peers through the darkness of the sewer, desperate for a sign...

 

[Tsuna...]

Genma nods and takes the lead, covering the flame with his other hand so it didn't go out, even tho there was no breeze they were still moving.

"This is much better. Even if I can see only two more meters in front of myself, it gives me chance to shit myself if a dead guy jumps out."

Jerry:

Never short on optimism are you Genma?

ronnie let out a small laugh before staring at every dark inch of the tunnel

"Still...the ground is damp and infected can get in. Theres something up ahead. Maybe an old survivor camp."

 

[The Mockingjay]

A single step is all it takes and her body weight collapses the wall to her left, as the crumbling wall sends a roar echoing through the two parallel tunnels she falls onto a damp dirt floor on the other side of the wall. A flickering light is all she sees before her eyes close once more.

 

[Never]

Jerry:

Never short on optimism are you Genma?

"Heh."

Genma looks forward, he couldn't seem to say any other light source and it felt like he'd been in this tunnel a long time now.

"There has to be an Exit. After this we gotta find Saeko!"

 

[Souji]

"Good"

"Yeah. Let's go. We need to find a military base, shelter... anything that can provide some pritection."

He said these words, but shared Sulli's uncertainty.

"I'm Thomas..." he says quietly, extending his hand for a handshake. Might as well exchange pleasantries.

 

[Tsuna...]

"Heh."

Genma looks forward, he couldn't seem to say any other light source and it felt like he'd been in this tunnel a long time now.

"There has to be an Exit. After this we gotta find Saeko!"

Jerry:

*Jerry hears something from behind that sparks his attention but he shakes his head and continues onward*
Definitely...

"I miss Cheza sometimes still...messed up as that is"
