Here is a new story I am working on. It may seem slow in the first few chapters, but I know where I want it to go. It's somewhat based off of Fairy Tail with the magic, but It primarily has a flow of the Zodiacs, not the Chinese Zodiacs.
In the Land of Dodeka, it was raining. Raining more than usual being that it is in a dry area. One by one, all of the citizens hurried towards the gate as twelve figured appeared through it. Those figures are the Zodiac Guardians, protectors of Dodeka and other surrounding areas. I am one of those guardians, I am Scorpio.
The mayor came up towards us as we filed into a horizontal line. One by one, she greeted us.
"Welcome back Masters Aries, Taurus, Leo, Virgo, Aquarius and Scorpio" she said towards the males while turning towards the females. "As well you all Mistresses Gemini, Cancer, Libra, Sagittarius, Capricorn and Pisces".
Aries, our leader, stepped towards the mayor, "Thank you, Mayor Santana. Here is the dragon scale you ordered us to return for you"
She took the scale and directed us to the inn where a group of citizens waited for us so the celebration can begin. As the music began, and people started dancing, children started asking us questions.
First, a little girl went to Sagittarius.
"Uhm, Ms. Sagittarius?" she asked, hesitantly.
Sagittarius turned around.
"Oh, hello little one" Sagittarius said.
"Can I ask you a question?"
"Sure"
"Well, what are the powers of the each Zodiac?"
I was passing by when I heard her ask the question and stood behind the pillar while Sagittarius explained.
"Well, I'll go in order" she pointed her finger to the ceiling. "To begin, there is Aries. He has the power to use and manipulate any kind of fire and is really strong. Next, there Taurus. He has the power to use and manipulate rocks, and such and can form horns from his head"
I already knew how this would go.
As the you move down the Zodiac Chart, the powers become more unique.
Gemini has the power to Air and can clone anything.
Cancer has the power of water and read minds besides other zodiacs.
Leo has lighting and can jump extremely high.
Virgo has earth power, more towards sensory, and manipulate animals and non-living things.
Libra has concealment power so she can block, reflect, or trap anything or anyone and can also jump really high.
I have poison powers and can decode anything.
Sagittarius is extremely great with archery and change the way she looks.
Aquarius has the power of water as well, but is more well rounded, and can manipulate it too.
Lastly, Pisces has ice powers and swim extremely well and stay underwater for long periods of time.
Once Sagittarius finished, the little girl thanked her and walked off outside.
I followed her and watched her until she pulled her collar up to her face and say:
"I've got the info"
I ran up to her and turned her around
"Information on us!?" I shouted.
"That's none of your business, Scorpio" her voice shifted into some 50 years old man as she vaporized into the sky.
I was pondering on what she wanted because she did not seem familiar in Dodeka. But, I did not know that our poor judgement would lead to our downfall.
