Zetsu's time to shine?

Madara, being cleaved in two, is not in a good position. We know Zetsu has been critical lately (stealing Minato's Kyuubi recently, dwindled Alliance numbers, SZ currently fighting the Kage, etc) and he's shown to be a capable villain and aid.

What if, now that Madara and Obito are weakened, Zetsu will take the remaining Rinnegan and proceed to overcome Madara's body and make it his own? How would you feel about this? Just food for thought.

I don't think so. I mean it is of course plausible. And he would be serving his purpose. But I think kishi set it up this way to show more of madaras new powers after taking in the holy tree. If he really is immortal then now is the time to prove it eh?

i think you are on the right track OP it is more plausible that black zetsu helps heal madara in the Kamui dimension

Zetsu will definitely play a role, his importance however is getting smaller the more madara powers up.
