[Theory] Zetsu

Has anyone ever thought zetsu could actually be the person behind everything? It seems out of all the justus and techniques I've seen so far zetsu has the most powerful. He had the ability to regenerate, create an unlimited amount of clones, copy any jutsu even blood line techs, and absorb anything he sees. Remember how in the beginning we all thought pein(nagato) was the leader? When in fact he was only following orders from tobi who played the background. Now I think it's strange that zetsu, as powerful as he is hasn't participated in the war at all.. Also if he has these abilities how could he possibly be being controlled by tobi or anyone else for that matter? Even tho the sharingan is able to control the bijuu, zetsu could easily copy this tech. He is also the only member of akatsuki we know nothing about who appeared out of thin air. Just a thought. What do you guys think?

I hope Zetsu becomes a big part of the story. He's the only mysterious character left. I don't think he has shown much power so far but he has potential

I think that Zetsu is a clone of Obito. Obito getting half of his face crushed helped to establish the black-white Zetsu characteristic.

But if he is a clone why doesn't he have the same abilities?
