So Zetsu is said to have recorded many battles. Is there a slight chance that he can beat his opponents since he knows what they will do and what their abilities are? What do you guys think?

i dont remember it saying he has recorded every battle in history maybe from the ninetails incedent...I think even if he knows everyones weakness all we have seen him capable of doing is absorbing chakra and morphing into people. I doubt he could beat many people

Zetsu has not recorded every battle in history that would require him to predate the Sage of the Six Paths and quite frankly, everyone we've heard about.

To answer your question- If he's seen someone fight before it would increase his chances, as they wouldn't be able to suprise him.
