i was bored and started reading zetsus bio from naruto.wiki and interestingly zetsu (the white side) was MADE FROM Hashirama Senju's DNA. SOO NOW WE KNOW BLACK ZETSU IS OLDER THAN THE WHITE ONE WHERE DOES THE BLACK ONE COME FROM??

because he cant do anything else...he can make clones but its not like those clones of his can use wood release jutsus. just becuase he was made from the 1st hokages cells doesnt mean he has all his abilities

All the Akatsuki are strong, including Zetsu. I guess we haven't actually seen him in a one-to-one serious fight so he isn't thought of much. I would like to see more of his powers and abilities and I admit, I put him in the bottom of the strongest Akatsuki members list only because we haven't seen many of his abilities and fighting capabilities. And I think it's hard to put the Akatsuki members in rank form, they are all powerful in different areas and I always change it lol. xd
I hope we see more of Zetsu soon.. well Black Zetsu that is.. Poor White Zetsu.

Zetsu is a best used for support purposes such as recon, distractions, and intelligence gathering.

As for combat, Zetsu is among the weakest. Him and his clones are fodder at best. He only poses a threat when you don't know he is going to attack since he can take the form of your comrade and blindside you.

F**k yeah Kisame! eating tasty chakra all day long. 100,000 fodder is still going to be better than a lot of S rank ninja someone made a good point of the 3rd Raikage loosing to 40 000 fodder or something and many people put him in their top 10. Also Zetsu can use Mokuton obvs on a weaker scale than even Yamato but he also has that chakra leech ability which messed with some of the 5 Kage's favourite Jonins and also his replication tech which even copies chakra. All in all I put him somewhere midway on my Akatsuki list but everyone has there own opinions and I do agree he's better suited for sabotage ect but that doesn't mean he couldn't take on Kakashi with 100,000 clones.

Zetus is not weak he is hidding his power I think. He doesn't really like to get involved but watches all the fights to gain knowledge. I'm not sure if he's strong combat wise.

Zetsu cannot just use 100k clones at will, Tobi created that army of Zetsu's with lots of prep time, Hashiramas Mokuton, and Bijuu chakra from the Gedo statue.

Zetsu himself has only been seen using 5-6 clones which is average at best.

Zetsu is not a combat type, Tobi already stated this and it was witnessed throughout the war.

You guys seem to forget that off tile in the manga black zetsu was able to hold off the mizukage and her attendants for around a whole day.. which sasuke at the point he met her could only manage for what 5 mins? xD

Soz mate I knew he couldn't just whip them out any time but I thought this was Kabuto's doing after he used some more senju dna and didn't think it took him all that long to do however I don't have photographic memory, does that make me a dumb noob? None the less if we have no restrictions to Zetsu here he's a power house.

You also have to remember that the 100k were enhanced via Yamato. Also we haven't seen enough of him in action rather than sasuke trolling him

He needed Gedo to produce more clones.

The original white zetsu can create only six, while black zetsu on the other hand can only trip people.
