Take this pebble and using earth chakra only, make it into a pyramid.

Don't force the chakra into the pebble, use it (earth charka that is) to bend the pebble to your will.

This could be more difficult, but in theory should work the same

*still breathing deeply and making sure to relax,letting the chakra do the work*

the earth starts to take shape but then crumbles....

Not a bad start, but remember with earth jutsu it's not just about the chakra put into the jutsu but the will power behind it....

You must will the shape to take place and then use chakra to force it to happen.

*Stomps on ground and perfect cube of earth appear*

Now that you have a feel for bending earth to your will, let try out this jutsu.

It is my favorite out of the basics and can come in handy not only for make an successful
opening move, but makes a great get away..

* Descripton: User Inserts him/her self in the ground and moves through the ground under the opponent and pulls them down trapping them in the ground with only there head above the ground.

The same way you used earth chakra to bend the earth given to you into different shapes, i want you to bend the earth underneath you around your body. When doing so this will allow you to move through the ground to your opponent, and then trapping them underground.

Exactly, when moving through the earth think of water ever medium you find easiest to move through... i think of water...

I want you to make an earth pillar rise from the ground.

Remember how i stomped and that column appeared? Do the same thing, but im not expecting a huge column a small pillar will do.
