This. And 0-division level is still weaker than Yamamoto. I think with a bankai he will be the strongest living captain. However he will not be on par with Yama.

His Bankai will probably be something which will either utilize his spiritual pressure as that is his strongest asset.

Like I said, being in full-time Shikai means nothing if you don't know your zanpaktou's name. What's the point in being in Shikai if you can't communicate with it.

By learning his zanpaktou's name it can now be said that he "officially" has Shikai.

What don't you people understand? Yama was the strongest Shinigami that had ever existed up till his death. The Zero Division may be more powerful than him collectively, but as individuals they're weaker than him (thought not by a large margin)

Yama even knew about Zaraki's potential after trying to teach him Kendo, etc. and he still told Aizen that no Shinigami that has been born in the past 1000 years had surpassed him. The fact that he had already met people like Ichigo, Aizen, and Zaraki is a testament to his own power. And I would definitely rate him as an excellent judge of character.

Zaraki with Bankai, depending on its abilities, would be able to stand toe to toe with Yama, but that's just about it.

Kenpachi didnt had much use of hes Shikai release before - since he didnt know the name of the sword.


Before it was only a constant release type - meaning it will emit some spiritual pressure - but maybe has 1 % of Reiatsu being used in the sword itself.

Now Kenpachi knows the name of the sword - meaning - that he has 100 % access to hes Shikai

It would be too hard to think about the Bankai levels.


Currently Kenpachi is a Reiatsu Powerhouse - Could very easily be #1 in terms of Reiatsu

Also most likely the best swordsmen in the Whole Soul Society.

If Kenpachi learns Bankai - Then it would have some special thing - that will enchance hes speed and power.

But the Bankai will be weaker in terms of Yamas.


Since Yamas Bankai - is practically a SuperNova ment to happen - it could Destroy the whole Soul Society to dust - if it gets out of controll.
