So Ninjutsu is determined as the backbone creed of all ninja, both fictional and real. In actuality, Ninjutsu is the amalgam of a broad spectrum of techniques tied into one package. These techniques include:
On the Base here however Ninjutsu is subdivided and taught separately. It is now my job to teach you the core aspect of Ninjutsu with the use of chakra as well as some aspects of Bukijutsu. Speaking of which, can you explain to me what chakra is? Once we get this introduction underway we can start with training.
Mind games, fooling the opponent: Genjutsu
Weapon proficiency and assassination arts: Bukijutsu and Kenjutsu
Hand to hand combat: Taijutsu
For now (and maybe forever) Bukijutsu is simply included in the Ninjutsu canon list instead of being a standalone, as such you'll be learning a few of those kinda techs.Interesting. Bukijutsu, sounds like something I'm interested in.
Chakra
Chakra, is life itself. Chakra is what allows shinobi to perform techniques within the five basic chakra nature category. Chakra is what allows us to use Genjutsu, Ninjutsu, Fuinjutsu, and many more sub-jutsu categories. All except Taijutsu, unless we go into NinTaijutsu which is a form of chakra-enhanced Taijutsu.
Chakra as I previously stated is used for nearly everything a ninja does in their career, be it walking on water, a tree, exhaling lightning, or wind, creating illusions etc. The uses of chakra are near infinite. Chakra is composed of two energies: Physical or Yang, and Spiritual aka Yin. Yin, and Yang = Chakra
That's just a small little summary, seeing as chakra is a concept the majority are familiar with

Now let's begin.
Yosamu claps his hands while a lake suddenly seeps from the soil beneath their feet. The lake rises slowly, enveloping the ankle first, then the shin, and then the knee.
"Now the first order of the day is using chakra to aid in your momevement, and in this case survivability. I want you to use your chakra to help you stay afloat this rising like. Like this."
Yosamu's legs were suddenly shrouded in a blue aura as he stepped atop the surface like it was solid and stood there.
"But be careful, this simple practice actually helps you when it comes to dividing your chakra equalling throughout your body. Send too much chakra to your legs and you displace the water, causing you to fall. Send too little and the water will overwhelm your legs, causing you to fall. Add the right amount and you'll float like me. Give it a try."
Yosamu smiled wide when he saw his student grab a hold of the concept so quickly. He was impressed.I'll have to take a look at them. Assassination is savage as hell.

Itama Senju
Itama studied his mentor Yosamu, digesting his words one, after the other never swaying from details. As the summoned water reached knee level, his mentor Yosamu continued on, not allowing the rising water to deter his attention in the lesson.
"Now the first order of the day is using chakra to aid in your momevement, and in this case survivability. I want you to use your chakra to help you stay afloat this rising like. Like this."
Watching Yosamu raise his foot above the water, Itama notice a blue aura envelope over that very same leg. Chakra? Itama pondered silently, continuing to envelop the entirety; both the physical visuals, and the mental mechanics.
Itama nodded indifferently, he knew this would be harder than it looked, but he'd always been great at chakra control, especially with his lineage within the Senju Clan. Focusing a small portion of chakra into the balls of his feet, Itama rose his left leg, stepping onto the water's surface. His foot descended back into the water with a small splash. Too little chakra, I understand now.
Attempting the process over again, but with a minor increase in chakra, he stepped onto the watery surface once again however, this time succeeding, rising his right leg down from the minute trench of water, balancing himself with even footing, then turning his attention to his mentor.
"How'd I do?"

Yosamu smiled wide when he saw his student grab a hold of the concept so quickly. He was impressed.
"Looks okay. Now, I want you to take this very same water walking practice, and reach..."
He searches for a viable target to task Itama with but when he couldn't find any in sight he pulls a kunai from his sleeve and tosses it behind him nonchalantly. The weapon would lodge itself into a tree about 7 meters behind him at a height of 10 meters.
"That. I want you to retrieve that kunai for me. That means you have to get up that tree. But here's the deal, I don't want you using your hands at all except for picking up that kunai, you understand?"
The trick to this task was to see if Itama was capable of using his chakra to traverse impossible odds, to defy gravity. He would have to find the right balance between physical and chakra exertion to both perform a standing run up a tree as well as keep rooted to it without falling.
Hearing his student's taunt Yosamu could do nothing but smile.Itama Senju
Itama noticed his mentor smile, obviously proud of his student easily picking up on the water walking ability. Itama himself was proud, walking around the water delicately, seeing if he'd surely gotten the hang of it.
"Looks okay. Now, I want you to take this very same water walking practice, and reach..."
His mentor said, reaching for something in his pouch, only to pull out a Kunai from his sleeve, to which he threw several meters away hitting a tree, at the very top of its body.
"That. I want you to retrieve that kunai for me. That means you have to get up that tree. But here's the deal, I don't want you using your hands at all except for picking up that kunai, you understand?"
Itama nodded, he'd seen his brothers Hashirama, and Tobirama do this many times before, so he had the mental mechanics down, it was just the physical he'd have to perform. Mechanically, it was similar to the water walking technique, but just on a solid surface he pondered to himself, walking toward the start of the tree's trunk.
Focusing his chakra to be take on the properties of a light, but not too light stickiness, Itama took a step up the tree. A smile crept itself onto his lips, as he realized he'd gotten the physical mechanics down rather easy, as well, possibly due to his Senju blood.
Several fast paced steps later, he'd mounted the tree without a single hand to aid his climb, plucking the kunai out of his hand, and throwing it fiercely back at his mentor.
"Come on sensei, bring on the difficult stuff." He laughed energetically.
Hearing his student's taunt Yosamu could do nothing but smile.
"I like your tenacity, kid."
He knew Itama had thrown the kunai back at him, but he didn't bother to move. His back was still turned to him. As the flung wepaon drew closer Yosamu still didn't move, he appeared completely oblivious. Then, at the last minute, the sensei simply vanished as the kunai splashed into the small lake he had prepared prior.
In a blur Yosamu would appear behind Itama, while also standing parallel to the ground--unknown to him of course. "Next order of business..." he whispered as he removed Itama's footing with a low kick, causing him to fall from the tree.
"I want you to explain to me what just happened."
(Kawarimi no Jutsu) - Change of Body Stance Technique
Rank:E
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:5
Damage Points:N/A
Description: Kawarimi no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique. When in danger the ninja will quickly substitute themselves with another nearby object. This can be a block of wood or even another person. This allows the ninja to quickly flee and hide while the original object takes the brunt of their opponents attack. The technique is a mix between high speed movement and the use of the transformation technique but has its limits.
OOC: Just explain the technique, I don't want you to perform it yet.
Another smirk. "Smart boy. You have an eye for these sort of things don't you?"Itama Senju
Not a moment later, Itama was swept off his feet by a swift kick he'd not anticipated. His turn around, all while falling to the ground from the tree noticing it was his mentor who'd dethroned him from his perch. A smile once again, crept to Itama's lips he'd taunted his sensei to up the difficulty, and that's exactly what he'd done.
Using the negative momentum generated from falling downwards from the tree, Itama tilted slightly backwards, coming into a spiral of back flips, until making contact with the surface ground, landing elegantly on his feet. That is when his mentor spoke.
"I want you to explain to me what just happened."
A fast paced movement had to have taken place, there was no other way to get behind me without any type of notice, Itama thought to himself. He then remembered the man standing obliviously when Itama threw the kunai his back.
"Hmm." Itama racked his brain for answers. "The kunai." He finally spoke up, finally voicing his theory. "You switched places with the kunai, with the integration of your speed it was if you merely vanished within thin air." Itama still pondered on however, was there more? He continued to mumble silently.
Another smirk. "Smart boy. You have an eye for these sort of things don't you?"
Yosamu then hops down from the tree and begins walking further into the forest. He didn't signal for Itama to follow, but if the boy truly wanted this training he would have to.
"What you just witnessed was the Kawarimi no Jutsu, or "Change of Body Stance". In today's age we simply know it as "Subtitution Jutsu". How it works is by vitalizing the muscles of the body with chakra to perform a short but speedy maneuver in where you dodge an incoming attack, within reason, by switching your entire being with that of an object nearby. This can allow you to get out of pinches and even flip the tables on your opponent. However, there is a limit to how many times this can be done in one fight, which is thrice, so use take time to realize and seize your opportunities wisely."
By the time they were in the forest a dark shade had overcome then, due to the high rise canopy of trees filtering the sunlight from above.
"Ah, such a cool day out, isn't it? If I weren't training you I'd be having a lovely afternoon nap right about now..."
He appeared to wander off for a bit, lost in thought. Suddenly, his right hand whips up and releases a specially tagged kunai from his sleeve. It was aimed straight at Itama's chest.
"You better dodge."
All would see was a faint smirk curl up his Sensei's lip as the specially tagged kunai exploding the moment it entered short ranged (5m by the way). A thick mist would erupt from the tag that had been tied to the kunai that would only serve to destroy his perception of reality, fooling him into thinking he had actually deflected the weapon. In reality it had continued onward while, his mind drooped into stupor, to prick him in the foot.Itama SenjuHis mentor began to walk further into the forest, of course he wanted him to follow, even if he didn't want Itama to follow closely behind, he would have; He wanted to further progress in Ninjutsu, he needed to.. So that's what he had done.

I figured those would be the inner workings, Itama silently assured himself, following several feet behind the man. The forest grew darker, as they made their way deeper into its bowels, that's when his sensei murmured something he could not hear from being to far away. That didn't strike his attention however, what did was a strikingly fast kunai aimed directly at him.
He made out the last bits, and pieces of what his mentor had said while he simultaneously launched the projectile at his student.
"You better dodge."
I'll do more than dodge. Itama slightly crouched, leaning lightly on the balls of his feet, then flipping backwards moments away from entering contact range with the kunai. While nearing the end of his momentum, Itama sternly balanced himself, jutting his hands forward onto the surface, then focusing his bodies stability with his core.

Lowering his now balanced body with his hands, his feet, and the kunai were now on equal levels, to which he used in his favor. Once the face of the kunai entered his air space, Itama jutted his right foot forward, changing the kunai's trajectory into a diagonal direction, causing it to pierce a nearby tree.
Itama swiftly recovered, jumping to his feet, awaiting his mentor's next move, all while taunting him ever so slightly.
