Zabuza's Kekkei Genkai? Whut...

Just rewatching the past 40 or so episodes minus filler(I read the manga too)

Why was Zabuza even a part of the Kekkei Genkai unit? As far as it's ever mentioned, he doesn't have one.
And the hidden mist jutsu isn't his own, others could use it so he didn't need to be there.


Seems just like an excuse to have Haku and Zabuza together again...

Yup that is pretty much the reasion Zabuza was apart of that unit, because he and Haku are a marvelous duo.

The mist jutsu is a jutsu people from the Hidden Mist can learn, Zabuza is just the only one shown using it because his way of killing is cowardly.

They aren't all that marvelous a duo, Haku is the one that's really good Zabuza is just kind of...there.

Mei uses it as well also it's not cowardly it's how they do silent killing

One was Haku, but you could also say he could serve the purpose of being their body guard through hidden mist jutsu and strong kenjutsu skills.

Silent killing is pretty cowardly though.
It's by no means ineffective but it's not a very honourable way to fight.


I don't think the mist helped all that much really.
Everyone in that squad could hold their own with their kekkei genkai really the mist just made it easy to get rid of the fodder, who wouldn't have been hard to kill anyway.
