Hidan is so underrated. Zabuza was good (And cool. I liked him and Haku. Really good antagonists with cool fights).. but Hidan together with Kakuzu was way above Zabuza and Haku in power.
Hidan is really powerful. Once he got your blood you're screwed no matter how strong you are. Look at his databook stats btw, he was over 30. And Asuma wasn't fodder.
I wouldn't say he was trolled because after all, Shikamaru was a veeery bad matchup for Hidan and he didn't really "beat" him - he tricked him into being blown up and trapped inside a hole.
Hidan would have had more abilities if the zombie duo arc wasn't rushed. His ninjutsu skill is 5 btw. Just wish we would have seen more of him. Though he may come back if we're lucky

the first boss in Devil May Cry 4 is Dante (or if youdon't count him) the king of hell, so that's a horrible reason for you to say zabuza is weak.. He is a beast, and gets trolled alot

Well, according to the databooks Hidan has Zabuza by one point:
Zabuza: 30.5
Hidan: 31.5

I still think Zabuza would be a better Akatsuki that Hidan. Hidan doesn't think like Zabuza does. But if Hidan really does best Zabuza in a fight I'm OK with that, neither of the two really interest me that much.

As the others explained before me, Hidan would be better at capturing jinchuriki my immobilizing them. Zabuza can capture them in a water prison but I'm sure a jinchuriki can break out of it. Also Zabuza lost to part 1 Kakashi and had to be saved by Haku and Hidan beat part 2 Asuma if it wasn't for Shikamaru. What does that tell you?

As much as I like Zabuza, Hidan is MUCH better than him. It's the gap between Kage and Jonin level.

The sharingan is disabled by the mist.

And people act like silent mist is an instant win. There's still using sense of smell, there's summons, there's futon, doton(travel underground to escape the mist), etc.
