Without Samehada Kisame can't move on to his super form.
Zabuza takes it high diff.
They are both top ninja from the mist so they're techs are sure off going to be pretty similar.
Keep in mind that Zabuza has hidden mist and was trained in silent killing.
Kisame has no special eyes that can see through the mist when sharingan can't.
Normally Samehada may be able to "sniff out" Zabuza but without it he has no way of knowing.
Zabuza takes this mis-high diff.

Yea, When he's fused with Samehada. Those 1000 Sharks were already taken down by Asajaku, which a human charater alread tanked without too much damage. Grand Waterfall can acomplish the same thing.

It is never actually stated whether or not the gills on Kisame's face allow him to breath under water, or if they're even really gills.
Only time he is shown breathing under water is when he is already fused with samehada so any techniques used while fused are invalid unless they are also used while he is not fused..

Bro he can breath unerwater regardless .. if not he can swim much better then Zabuza .. Why would he Use those suitons if he could not utilize them to an extent that his opponents can not? ..

And yes they would charge right through its really not that strong of an attack

Kisame has never shown to breathe underwater without fusing with Samehad. Even though he has gills on his face, it doesn't mean he can. The OP showed that when he fuses with Samehada, the gills open up allowing him to breathe. Saying he can whenever is invalid.

Without Samehada to sense Zabuza within the mist, I actually can't see how Kisame wins here.

All Kisame has now is huge Suitons but what good are those if he doesn't know where to aim them at? Kisame now has no sensing abilities, he won't be able to counter Zabuza's clone feints because not even Kakashi with 3 tomoe Sharingan could.

Zabuza wins high diff. If Kisame had Samehada, he'd win low diff

That scan didn't show him breathing underwater, it showed him swimming to the top......

What's good about the shakrs when Kisame doesn't know which direction to aim them at?

You honestly just called Giant Vortex Jutsu not that strong? Dude it was strong enough to put Zabuza in a non fighting state for a week. And this is the guy who could withstand a dozen swords in his back and still charge full force against hundreds of thugs and get through them.....that shows how strong the tech really is

(from NW) ... Gills means he can breath ... i dont know what your getting at by saying their closed theres no proof to that .. And obviously he is much more skilled at swimming due to the fact that he uses this at the start of each match ..

He does this because he can A)swim much faster and is able to avoid and attack from under water ...
B) he can breath underwater ..
