Zabuza vs Asuma

So if P1 Kakashi is stronger than Zabuza (or so people claim), would Asuma have been able to defeat Zabuza?
This is Part 1 Asuma (and his team is part 1 as well).

Conditions: Same as when Kakashi fought Zabuza.

Scenario 1: Asuma vs Zabuza
Scenario 2: Team 10 (Asuma and his team from part 1) vs Zabuza and Haku

I say Zabuza wins both scenarios.

Asuma wins
When Zabuza puts up his mist, Asuma can use his ash cloud and ignite it.

Both are fodders. Asuma wins.

He uses Dust Cloud technique on Zabusa's mist.
Once he gets that out of the way he can use Katon Haisekisho
and dust burn that fodder down.
And he can keep up with Zabusa's sword since he kept up
for some time with Kisame on part 1 using his Hien.

Normal Scenario?: Zabuza wins.
Asuma would definitely do a worse job than Kakashi given the fact that he doesn't have a Sharingan nor is he more skilled and his students were more fodder than those of Team 7.

Scenario 1: Zabuza wins. Same as above regarding Asuma.

Scenario 2: Duo wins. Don't think i need to explain this one.
