Take your time, I'll set up the RP xd

Let's make this really fun :)

Souji lay down on a plateau overlooking a small lake and plain. It was peaceful... too peaceful.

He sincerely hoped no one would come running in, asking him for a spar or somethin'. It was his day off, and by the Sage he was gonna have it, no matter what.

Yusei for as far back as he could remember had always had this problem with timing. Most of the time it was shown by being late to meetings, battles , training, pretty much everything. Some called it a bad habit, he called it a trait he was born with regardless of what it was it was apparent it wasn't going away anytime soon .Strolling through what seemed to be an endless forest, Yusei in some sort of saddened state as if shouldering some burden was lost in his thoughts as he recalled the words of one of his former teachers "Yusei, being strong isn't something as simple as knowing a few or even a lot of powerful techniques.Being strong is being able to use any technique well enough that it becomes dangerous, and that in itself is not something I or any other person can teach you. It's something you learn for yourself through the experience gained from battle".At the time Yusei was more focused on amassing a large arsenal of what he deemed were powerful techniques, rather then hone his use in the techniques he already knew. Taking the words to heart Yusei did just as suggested and worked on honing his use of techniques he had further before attempting to look for more. The advice seemed to be working as Yusei felt a gradual increase in his abilities,he had the same techniques but his opinion on them had changed.Though his opinion of himself didn't, feeling he would never be able to keep the promise he made to his late mother and truly be strong.Taking a walk always seemed to lighten Yusei's mind and heart but these days he felt alone with leaving konoha and isolating himself from even his new comrades in kiri, no amount of walking could change how he felt.

Finally making it out of what seemed like and endless forest Yusei made way to an Open field with a small lake.Deciding to rest for a bit beside the lake, Yusei was surprised by a familiar face. Souji Sensei, It sure has been a while."Hope you don't mind me sharing the place"as he knelt down to sit by his former teacher and one of the few people he truly cared for and respected.Sitting while staring at the lake it was clear Yusei wanted to talk to his teacher and release all the pent up emotions he was feeling within , but he just didnt know how to start.

Souji Sensei, It sure has been a while."Hope you don't mind me sharing the place"

... the sound of a familiar voice perked Souji's ears. So much for some alone time... hands behind his head as he stretched out relaxing, Souji kept his eyes closed, playing a quick guessing game to deduce the identity of the person this statement had originated from.

Was it Jakai? Moxxi? Leathercandle? ... Sage, he dearly hoped it wasn't Leathercandle. Souji had a horrible daydream that he was the Raikage of legend and was uppercutted by some punk kid... Rentaro, if memory served him right?

There was a little furrowing of his brow, then he came to a definitive conclusion: it was Yusei. It wasn't really mistakable; there was a youthful zeal to his voice... it had that quality of a greenhorn with an enthusiasm for learning and growing stronger. But for some reason, it seemed as if his tone had matured a little. It was true, they hadn't seen each other for quite some time. The last instance of their interaction was zapping each other with lightning bolts... the halcyon days... in fact, there was this one time when-

Ok, ok, no reminiscing! Focus on the situation at hand! Why was Yusei here? How did he find this place?

Souji cracked open one of his eyes and shifted his vision to his side, looking at his student sitting and staring.

"... wassup, kiddo? You're lookin' awfully serious these days. Or have you always been like this?" he responded, following with a deep breath of fresh air, trying to come off as both casual and curious, if not trying to lighten the mood a little.

For some reason on my previous post I can only see the red and yellow text is it the same for you or can you actually see everything that's written O-O

"... wassup, kiddo? You're lookin' awfully serious these days. Or have you always been like this?"

A simple reply from his teacher but it was enough to encourage Yusei to talk and release all his pent up emotions.Looking to his old Sensei Yusei told his story, from the moment he killed his mother and the promise he made to her as she took her final breaths to him defecting to kiri in search of a place to isolate himself and focus on training. He told his Sensei everything even his innermost thoughts, "Sometimes I feel like ill never be able to truly keep that promise, no matter how much I improve"."Sometimes I feel I would rather die and be done with it then have this burden over my shoulders".Clenching his fists in the process it was clear that it was difficult to recall these thoughts and memories let alone speak about them. This was a different side of Yusei under the cool calm and collected Prince exterior lied a confused and self loathing kid that even some of the closest people to him didn't know about.

Hearing his student's story, it seemed like he had a lot to say. It was a usual tale of tragedy, expectations, and whatnot. It didn't surprise Souji too much; everyone had a side they didn't like to show to others... a "shadow", to put it simply. Souji stretched and plopped back first onto the cool grass of the plateau, looking up toward the sky. He flashed a mischievous, almost imperceptible smirk.

"... so what makes you happy, then? Are you telling me you're doing something you don't like? This... promise thing?" he questioned, sounding almost skeptical.

Gazing at his sensei it was clear that not even he could understand."It's not a matter of something I like or don't like, its a matter of repenting. Can you imagine what it's like to kill your one and only mother, and have her say with a smile on her face that she wanted you to become strong as her final words.I told you I didn't care if it led to my death, and I stand by what I said. I just ... want to keep the promise I made to her. After that I wont care about anything, the killing, the protecting, the friends that die, the enemies that continue to live. Some people believe if you do good in this world you will be awarded with paradise, I feel like its both true but at the sometime a scam. How can you truly call someone good for doing a kind deed if it's all in his best interest in the end, he knows it will only bring him one step closer to the paradise he seeks. So is he really good, or is he pretending to be for compensation?Don't get me wrong Im not trying to argue my way in there, even if I was somehow allowed I wouldn't dare go past the gates, because I know she would be on the other side.So what I do dare to do is try and try hard to keep that promise as long as my story lasts. And when the end comes I don't want to have any regrets"

Souji listened again. Then, he spoke, a little more serious this time.

"We've all been through hell. We're soldiers on a battlefield, carrying the burdens of those around us and bringing them with us, giving us reasons to fight."

"... well, that's how we're taught to look at it. I personally believe that we need to be as equally motivated to do something out of helping others as it is for personal development."

He turned to Yusei. Souji's eyes were gazing, boring into his students'.

"What's the point of putting yourself down, hating yourself? Would your mother want to see you like this? Fulfilling her promise at your own cost? I don't what your mother was like, but I don't think she'd want that. Not judging, though!"

Standing up, he leaped backward into mid-range from Yusei. He began hustling with his feet.

"Get up! Fight me, go all out. You've obviously got a lot pent up and I want you to have a little catharsis. We can keep talking as we try to kill each other in the friendliest way possible. I'll even let you have the first move, heh."

The last part was subtly challenging Yusei. Souji knew his student was up for it. He also wanted to flex his own muscles a little.
