A rather interesting day, as Atem had challenged a comrade of his to a duel. Atem while honing his skill in the crafting and development of techniques had dulled in regards to battle. Thus he felt a needed honing of his skills, asking Tobirama a ninja known for his expertise in water to help him practice.

Thank you for accepting my request, now shall we begin the duel.


Not waiting for a response Atemu started off by preforming a single hand-seal as he focused his chakra into the ground causing lightning to eat away at the earth around tobirama. Shaping it into a multitude of pillars that created an oven like structure of rather large size to entrap him within. Atemu then preformed another hand-seal causing lightning chakra to pool under tobirama's feet and erupt in a large column of lightning, which Atemu chose to have a rather large area (as per the description) to encase the entirety or large portion within the structure not only harming tobirama if making contact but causing the structure to collapse in itself and tobirama in the process. However tobirama was far from a ninja who could die to such a petiful attack, and thus Atemu prepared a lightning clone besides him for when his opponent would escape.

Description: After performing the needed hand seals Rat → Monkey → Horse → Tiger the user will create a even more powerful version of Lightning Release: Four Pillar Bind. Using this technique, the user creates sixteen giant pillars by using his lightning chakra to shape the ground into a multitude of pillars, which then form a giant cubic oven to trap the enemy. It is often used after Earth Release: Mud Fall to cover the enemy target in mud and then follow up with using Fire release: Firing Biscuit, creating flames in the oven to roast and harden the mud, immobilizing the enemy.

Let's test your waters, young Pharoh!

Tobirama waited for his opponent to begin the fight, and was shocked to see the Pharoh perform a single hand seal to cause the ground to rise up around Tobirama. As the ground was rising, Tobirama activated his chakra sensory, knowing the earth was going to cause the two to lose vision of each other. After this chakra sensory activated, Tobirama slammed both hands on the ground after the two lost eyesight of each other, and began streaming his suiton chakra underneath his opponent. Once under his opponent, Tobirama caused the chakra to form into a pool of water that gushed upwards, smacking his opponent high into the air. After streaming together some more hand seals, Tobirama caused eight bullets of water to raise upwards from the pool at alarming speeds, battering the Pharoh as they flew by, then they combined to form a single dragon. Tobirama caused the dragon to bite the Pharoh and slam him straight into the earthen wall, smashing it down to see the Nidaime Hokage with his arms crossed, staring at the body of his student.

Description: The user will clap his hands and slam them on the ground, streaming an incredibly rapid stream of water through it, creating a large pool of water beneath the opponent to form, that gushes upwards in a burst, lifting the opponent high into the air. The user does the Bird → Dog → Snake → Rat hand seals after his opponent is mid air, using the water pool to shoot up to 8 small water bullets, designed to further raise the opponent into the air, disorient him and damage him. The water bullets gather above the opponent after hitting and passing through his position and form into a water dragon which then attacks the target, grabbing it in its jaws and forcefully bringing it crashing into the ground. The dragon comes down from above the target, bites the target and coils down, towards the ground, crushing the target between the ground and the now incredible mass of falling water. Tobirama Senju does this technique with his own specific hand seals, similar to how he does some other water techniques. Despite long and seemingly complex, the technique is quite fast to perform and trigger.

A clever counter indeed, reacting as soon as the earth was risen surely wasn't expected. Nor was the water pooling beneath his feet, which caught Atem somewhat off guard as the water smacked him into the air. However Atem had been in many a similar situation, as he simply took a deep breath and almost instantly analyzed and countered. Immediately after being smacked into the air, Atem would focus his chakra to seemingly create a perfect copy of his noble being in the form of a lightning clone. Upon manifestation the clone would grip Atem's hands tight and proceed to throw him away from harms way ( still mid range upon landing) while it would be he, the clone that would take the full damage of the technique. Atem upon landing safely, sighed as he convinced himself that he would need to be the one on to the offensive, his element of choice was a great one indeed but it did not match the versatility of his opponent water style, being somewhat limited in areas such as evasion. Thus to make use of his affinity he would need to use it in a manner that suited its characteristics, quick, sharp, and destructive. Upon seeing the dragon brutally crush his clone bringing it towards the structure entrapping tobirama breaking it in the process, Atem smiled at such a well executed move. Deciding it was his turn to take control, he snapped his finger as a barrier composed of plasma shrouded his being, a defensive precaution no doubt. Now with some form of protection for a limited duration Atem would preform a single hand seal. In doing so he would manifest two disks of rather focused lightning that he would release at tobirama sending them in a way where each of the 2 disks was aimed at a different side, his right and lift thrown in a way where they would curve at the center meeting and slicing through tobirama's abdominal area if not defended. ( basically disk coming from both the right and left side aimed at slicing through your abdomen)

This duel will surely be an enlightening one, Tobirama.

Tobirama sensed his opponent create something out of chakra that seemed similar to the opponent's own chakra system, but there were differences. The dragon then bit the thing and drove it into the earthen wall, crushing it completely. After a few moments of letting the dust and debris settle, Tobirama once again gained eyesight of his opponent. His opponent performed a hand seal and began shrouding himself in electricity. It seemed as if this tactic was purely defensive, a bad mistake Tobirama was going to show his student. In response, Tobirama flashed the bird hand seal and generated two water constructs on his shoulders, two penguins. One was made of crystalline water whereas the other was made of a chakra sapping mist, unbeknownst to his opponent, Atem. After creating the two penguins, Starmie and Staryu, Atem formed a hand seal and sent two raiton discs towards Tobirama, going in wide arcs to cut him in his abdominal area. Tobirama began running forwards as he drew his sword, channeling suiton chakra into it, hardening the suiton covering his blade. Once the raiton technique nearly reaches Tobirama, he stops in his tracks and begins spinning, releasing the hardened crescent of water as it clashes against the raiton technique. However, instead of dissipating, the water technique instead almost absorbed the raiton's properties as the raiton died out, and the crescent of crystalline water, now electrified, aims to bisect the young atem.

Description: One of Tobirama's most diverse and unique techniques, Suiton: Senchinerupengin is a new take on suiton ninjutsu. With the rapid release and manipulation of suiton chakra, a suiton specialist will be able to form one hand seal and use the air's moisture to create two penguins of water, the same size of Shima and Fukasaku respectively, that fly around the user or stay on the user's shoulders. These penguins are special due to their signature techniques and composition, their names being Staryu and Starmie respectively.

Staryu - Staryu is a penguin made of water and through the rapid release and conversion of suiton chakra, has it's composition changed to that of a chakra draining mist. Due to Staryu's composition, it is able to create various ninja tools (kunai, shuriken, spears, swords, etc.) and shields of chakra draining mist up to short range of the user and control them with relative ease, however, once the tool is moved out of short range, it continues it's course at the same speed to wherever it was headed. This ability is b-ranked in power, but once the opponent is hit with this mist, they become significantly more sluggish due to chakra being drained from the opponent (speed drops by two ranks for two turns).

Starmie - Starmie is a penguin made of water and through the rapid release and conversion of suiton chakra, has it's composition changed to that of a crystalline water. Due to Starmie's composition, it is able to create various ninja tools (kunai, shuriken, spears, swords, etc.) and shields of crystalline water up to short range of the user and control them with relative ease, however, once the tool is moved out of short range, it continues it's course at the same speed to wherever it was headed. This ability is a-ranked in power, but has no other effects except for causing excess lacerations and having more power compared to regular suiton due to the crystalline like composition of said water, but still not enough to overcome it's elemental weaknesses.

Description: A fairly simple but effective suiton ninjutsu, Hogo Pengin no Tangan is a suiton ninjutsu that uses the properties crystalized water to coat the blade of a sword. The user would put as much or as little chakra into the blade to crystalize as they want, and then they would simply cut through an opposing jutsu, releasing a crescent of crystalized water towards the opponent. With paramount chakra control, the user would then control the crescent of crystalized suiton much like the jutsu Suiton: Nagareru no Yari, only except instead of hand movements, the user would control the crescent via waving their sword up, down, left, or right. The user could control the crescent up to mid range with ease, and due to the crescent's properties of crystalline water, it's cutting power would be unmatched, even compared to the famous Suiton: Suidanha.

Description: The user will focus their water chakra into their water based techniques, creating a veil of mist around the water techniques. The creation of the veil can be created within the same time-frame the attack is sent by simply performing an extra hand seal during performance. The veil over the body of water is thin, so the user can still keep relatively easy visual on the opponent and the mist is easily noticeable by regular eyes. This mist has absorption abilities (similar to grudge rain), but not of chakra, it absorbs the specific traits of elements within the mist, and from their since the mist is closely in contact with the water technique, it will in a way 'transfer' these traits onto the water technique. When the users water technique clashes with fire, the mist will absorb the heat, transfer it to the water technique, from there the water becomes scolding hot to touch. Lightning has more potential to conduct through water without it overpowering it. Wind element can sharpen the water, making it similar to Water Release: Severing Wave. This transfer will only work on techniques A-Rank and below (S-Rank and below for Fire and other elements weak to Suiton ; B-Rank and below for elements strong to Suiton). This way the original water technique will not be weakened, and retain the fullest of capabilities. Due to the mist veil being A-Rank, and have specific chakra harboring. This technique works under logical elements, not all elements will be able to cope with this, such as, solid earth, most water, wood, steel, etc. Solid elements that might have a chance to be absorbed (lava, mud, etc), after absorption will exist as material devoid of chakra. Elements that do not reciprocate with the technique at all, will not be effected, and clash with the original technique without resistance. This also means the abilities absorbed, and transfer will grant the water logical traits in correspond with the element it touches. This technique allows infusion to be done on streams, projectiles, humanoids, self-sustaining techs, etc. As well as able to use with the variants of Water Release such as sticky water and mist. Use of this technique does not manipulate elemental strength and weakness, but simply gives it special traits. After the mist does its job, it disperses, it will remain dormant around the technique until interaction with an element.

OOC: That's a really nice combo lol.

A shocking sight, as Atem witnessed the absorption of his lightning technique, and the transferring of its electrical traits to his opponent water water technique. Not only was he able to counter his technique, but was able to to use it to charge up his own technique as well. It was clear that Tobirama's arsenal was one to be cautious of. Calm and collected Atem simply focused his chakra once more as he flicked his wrist and released a wave of lightning. the wave would neutralize the incoming water technique upon collision due to sharing the same level of power. Normally the technique was a deceptive one as it appeared as bright flash of light, though to any doujutsu users or sensors such as Tobirama it wouldn't make much of a difference as he would be able to sense its true nature. Regardless, with the collision of the two techniques both were destroyed. Leaving tobirama with 2 unique looking penguins on his shoulder, a jutsu no doubt but its effects would remain a mystery until shown. Whilst Atemu still had his Plasma barrier focused and would continue to ( for one more turn). (You didn't list how much closer you got so I presume you are still in Mid-range) He would then preform a single hand-seal and have his chakra pool beneath the opponents feet and spring up in the form of numerous lightning bolts that extend to a 5 meter radius all around tobirama. Immediately after Atemu would take a swift hand gesture, releasing a plethora of senbon composed of pure lightning towards his water loving opponent.

I am but a mere beginner in the game of chess, but I believe such a declaration is only made when the king is defeated.

The user will then shape and manipulate the lightning underground, causing countless of 10 inch in length lightning bolts to spring up from under the target(s) and the area up to 5 meters around them; resulting in a devastating assault. Ripping through the skin causing lethal damage after several thunderbolts hit the target. The thunderbolts once shot up from the ground spring upwards in such a fast pace they look like shooting stars from a distance. Because of the pace in which they hurl from within the ground and the area they cover, it's dangerous for the user to be six meters or less near the opponent, risking to be caught in the array. Thus, being a technique designed for distances that surpass short range.

Description: The user reshapes the Chidori in their hand into the form of countless senbon which are shot with a simple hand movement towards the target. The senbons are extremely precise and have the same numbing and paralyzing effects as Chidori, carrying enormous speed. Because the technique requires no hand-seals and is done with simple hand movements, its extremely hard to avoid while in short range and quite dangerous to counter due to the precision attacks it can be used to perform.

As the flash of light appears after Atem flicks his wrist. That was a bad move, considering Joel taught Tobirama that exact same attack. Tobirama instantaneously channels more water chakra into his electrified crescent of water. It then became a mist covered, shocking water that would suck the chakra out of anything it came in contact with. Once the crystallized crescent of water overpowered Atem's new raiton attack, the same crescent that absorbed and overpowered the Pharoh's last raiton attack, the Pharoh would be shocked to find himself bisected.

Description: One of the spellbinding water-based techniques. The user will activate this ability (instant activation due to it being stand alone, and does not grant ability until another compatible technique is used), to apply to all types of water release techniques that logically work with this. After the technique is set, the main ability granted will be is all techniques are infused with a special kind of mist, specifically similar to the jutsu Water Release: Grudge Rain and Hiding in Mist. This creates a sort of thin veil over the body of the water composed of mist, so the user can still keep relatively easy visual on the opponent and the mist is easily noticeable by regular eyes. It will not exactly make the user's own technique stronger, instead, it will weaken the opponent's jutsu. It will specifically absorb the chakra of the technique, decreasing its damage and weakening the technique overall. This will make it seem as if the user's technique has become stronger - on the contrary - it will just be the opponents technique that is weakened. Further more, if this special water does not touch a technique, but instead the opponent, the technique will begin to absorb the chakra of the opponent, -50 chakra will be drained. For every turn that this technique is in contact with an opponent, it will continue to drain the chakra out of the opponent by -50. This technique allows infusion to be done on streams, projectiles, humanoids, self-sustaining techs, etc. As well as able to use with the variants of Water Release such as sticky water and mist. Also, when this infused water clashes with another technique or comes into contact with a sentient being, if the user so chooses, he can absorb the chakra as long as he's still in contact with his technique and as such this will not work with projectiles or similar techniques. The user can dispel this technique at any time and while active, this ability doesn't have to be applied to every compatible technique used. This misty coating will disperse after clashing with another technique, meaning the damage reduction provided by this jutsu will only apply once to each individual technique utilized by the user.

Atemu seemed to be displeased at the sight of his technique growing weaker and ultimately overpowered by Tobirama's Crescent, once more. Although due to the clash of the techniques the crescent was still somewhat weakened, just enough for Atemu to be able to tank it with his plasma ball. Allowing him to defend the technique Atemu was thankful as the barrier dispersed. Atemu immediately took the offensive as his barrier dispersed, preforming a single hand-seal and have his chakra pool beneath the opponents feet and spring up in the form of numerous lightning bolts that extend to a 5 meter radius all around tobirama. Mere seconds later Atemu would take out a kunai using his right hand and flow his electrifying chakra into it, whilst taking out 3 kunai with his left all attached with paper bombs, throwing them towards Tobirama with much strength having them fly towards him at a rather high speed. However the chakra filled kunai was not focused with chakra to supplement its piercing ability, the chakra residing in the kunai upon entering short range of Tobirama would cause anything within short range to converge upon him. In this case it would be the rubble and broken rock sections of the oven like structure Tobirama had broken with his water dragon earlier in the battle, as well as the 3 kunai attached with paper bombs. Atem would then finish off my creating a duplicate of himself composed of pure lightning, one whom he would refer to as Yugi.

This battle has taken quite an electrifying turn, wouldn't you say so Tobirama?

Description: The user will gather lightning chakra and release the lightning into a weapon and/or object (kunais, shurikens, etc) that can conduct lightning, the user will then proceed to throw the weapon at the opponent. The user will have to make direct physical contact with the weapon to channel their raiton chakra into it. Once it gets within short-range of the opponent, the user will perform one hand seal, and essentially release the built up lightning chakra from within the material in order to activate the special ability of the technique. Taking into account the canon jutsu Lightning Release: Lightning Blades Levitation from which it was derived from, the user will cause any objects/tools/materials within short-range of the opponent to converge on the opponent's position by releasing the lightning all around and attracting things inward to its source, crushing anything within the vicinity. These materials will also contain a certain amount of shock value, able to paralyze the opponent on touch, yet only applies to things that are logical and can conduct lightning (clothing, metal, rocks, etc).
