(Let's RP a little, It's only fun afterall xD)

-Sakura arrives and stops medium range from you on the path. She faces you but diverts her eyes to her hands as she pulls her gloves on tighter and stretches out her fingers-

"You only get one warning. If you want to quit, now is the chance."

-She gives a slight grin as her eyes lock on yours and she begins driving her left fist into her right palm-

A young man found himself walking down a dirt trail, it's edges decorated with trees. It seemed old, constructed a long time ago so that travelers had a set course through this vast grassy plain. Having had a pleasant day thus far Yukio only expected it to get even better as it progressed. The shinobi set out to this landscape so that him and another he had heard of could clash in a fierce and all out battle. Upon coming to his designated coordinates Yukio stopped and awaited for the arrival of his opponent. Luckily, patience was a fine trait he possessed. As he waited the young man prompted himself up against one of the nearby trees, leaning his head back and closing his eyes before relaxing and taking in the tranquil essence of the surroundings. Something about the area itself put him in a state of peace. Little did he know that this calm period would be broken sooner than he expect by a woman known as Sakura.

"You only get one warning. If you want to quit, now is the chance."

Yukio had heard the kunoichi approaching but it wasn't until her voice resonated into his ears that he opened his eyes and gave her some attention. Though he usually would have responded with a smart remark and explained how he was a man who long forgotten the meaning of the word quit, Yukio instead gave the woman and soft smile, one of great warmth and welcoming. Before replying to her Yukio would remove himself from his leaning position on the bark of the tree and place himself back at the center of the road, standing a mere 15 meters from her.

"No, I'm fully prepared to continue."

The words escaped his parted lips in a gentle tone, his voice so soothing and alluring it was like an angel singing the chorus to a siren's song which tempted one to verge closer. The soft smile still upon his face, Yukio locked his deep crimson eyes on the woman. Such eyes were usually mixed with a hint of yellow and orange hues that it appeared as if a star itself had died in them. But the once supernova like eyes that reflected with intensity now shown a firery gaze that burned with a mixture of emotions. As he locked his scarlet vision upon Sakura Yukio glance into hers as well. For a moment, it was like rubies meeting emeralds. After placing his hand upon the katana sheathed at his side, Yukio's grip suddenly loosened on it immediately after grasping it. Reasons to explain such hesitation were unknown but Yukio seemed to pause before speaking once more.

"You know... I've seen many people with green eyes. But yours are the first I've seen to shine in such a way. They say within every set of eyes lies a galaxy that holds all of ones secrets. Something tells me you have quite the past."

After his statement a calm gust of wind took over the plains, forcing Yukio's clothing to ripple and his moonlight white hair to gracefully sway as the grass blades danced. However the breeze died out just as soon as it emerged, leaving the land in peace once more as Yukio awaited the woman's response.

[The Mockingjay]

Surprised at his response and with her determination slightly shaken Sakura freezes momentarily. After an almost impossible to recognise pause, Sakura's steely stare returns to her eyes and she regains her drive and strong posture.
Shaking out her limbs in an attempt to cover her momentary lapse in concentration whilst also limbering up to stay in her current mind set Sakura looks her opponent up and down.

"Your perseption of me is correct, but I've learnt not to linger in the past. I've worked myself hard to forget the person I used to be. Maybe once, your voice and comments alone would have been enough to defeat me. A naive girl, desperate for affection and easily influenced. But unfortunately for you I am not that girl anymore, for me not to give my all here just because of a random selection of words would undo all of the hard work and training that my sensei put me through. I stand in front of you Sakura Haruno, personal student of the Legendary Slug Princess, Tsunade. So for her and for myself, I cannot lose here. No matter what!"

Sakura sets off sprinting across the short distance between her and her opponent, she pulls her right fist back behind her in anticipation of throwing a strong punch when she reaches him. However, when she reaches a point roughly 2 metres from him she throws her fist foward in a feint punch and instead drives her right leg out along the floor in front of her, dropping to the ground she skids and kicks a huge amount of dirt up into the face of her opponent. In amongst the dust cloud she drives a kunai into the ground, the kunai wrapped with an explosive tag.
Sakura quickly gets back to her feet and drives off through her knees and to her left, she quickly flings herself off behind a tree and detonates the tag.

Yukio was somewhat relieved to know that Sakura was not one to dread on the past. Truly, those that make a habit out of drowning in their previous miseries would never get the chance to learn to swim the in the possibilities of future happiness. However this would not change the fact that Sakura was his opponent and hence forth he would treat her as such. With the woman's assault beginning Yukio kept a close eye on her movements as she approached, focusing on which muscles he would have to tense up or relax in order to perform a successful counter. When Sakura reached 5 meters away from him Yukio took in further caution for her next few movements would be her defining ones that laid out her attacks. With a punch clearly heading his way Yukio pivoted on his right foot and swayed his body to the side, preparing himself to side step the punch. While this was done Yukio kept his crimson eyes on the woman at all times, still cautiously watching her muscle movements and such would come in great use when he noticed a slight change in her position to redirect her momentum into a skidding kick. With her now 2 meters away from him Yukio had just enough time to figure out what it was she was about to do thanks to his previous encounters to the same type of maneuver in past battles, and reacted just in time. Already pivoted on his foot the side step was then turned into a leap as he pushed off of the ground, successfully getting out of the way of both the punch and cloud of dust kicked up towards what would have been his face in the previous position. Having launched himself off of the ground hard Yukio was able to catch a glimpse of Sakura pulling out a kunai with an explosive tag wrapped around and thrusting it towards the ground within the cloud of dust at the angel he was at from her.

Not wasting any movement Yukio took advantage of his location and direction of his mid air movement to cling to the tree he was leaning against prior to the fight. With a simple twist he spun around on the bark and landed his feet on the side of it, the road now to his right. With this being done Yukio kicked off of the trunk and landed in the top of the other tree, the one in which Sakura leaped behind to gain cover from the explosion she was about to do. Thanks to the width of the dust cloud she picked up it would have been a little tricky to catch a glance at Yukio's escape to the side as she went to plant an explosive into the blind spot. By the time Sakura was set behind the tree and would have any chance to look to the side to see that Yukio had escaped he would have already been hidden in the thick branches in the tree above her, the mass groups of leaves cloaking his every movement while he was up there. Yukio already knew she would have been able to hear him land up high in the tree above her so he wasted no time to do what he needed to be done. Right after thrusting off of the previous tree Yukio would display a magnificent skill in sleight of hand to swiftly pull out a paper bomb from his pocket right after he entered the safely cloaked tree top. Upon his landing on the tree he placed the paper bomb along the tree's trunk. Though his image within the branches and leaves would have been hard to make out Yukio took even more caution with all of his movements, having the paper bomb hidden within his sleeve the entire time so there was no way Sakura could see him possessing it she tried to see through the thick covering of plant life. When he planted the paper bomb Yukio made sure to make it appear as if he was simply placing his hand upon the trunk of the tree simply for landing and balancing measures. As well as this he had placed it in such a way that it was tucked behind a large branch in addition to the many others, that way it's existence was well hidden through out the entire time. Without hesitation Yukio would then drop down from the top of the tree, his flexible and quick movements making it look like he swam and flew through the dense collection of branches and leaves. Yukio would have landed just 10 meters ahead of sakura from behind the tree, having his feet safely touch the soil just as she detonated the explosive tag. Out of harms way Yukio had no worries of Sakura's assault from before that she planned would end with a bang. The best part of all of this was that Yukio's paper bomb would have blown up at the same time as Sakura's explosive tag on her kunai did, as if the blasts had been born as twins in completely harmony with one another. With this the sound of a bang would not signal Yukio's demise, but instead would have signaled that explosion right behind Sakura herself. The blast was not very large but had more than enough power to ignite the tree and crumble and tear away at it with the force. On top of blasting the tree into burning chunks it would have sent Sakura flying off of her feet and towards the direction of Yukio, leaving a few chunks of blazing wood to scrape across her body. This would only leave very mild wounds and maybe a splinter or two, leaving Sakura fine and barely harmed in the process. What came next though following her flying motion towards the young man thanks to the force of the blast was yet another step in Yukio's assault. Having the girl sent his way Yukio grasped his katana by both hands, then thrust it partly outwards of it's sheathe, not completely pulling it out, but allowing it to slam into Sakura's figure. The blow would be placed just below the cherry blossom shinobi's lungs, the strength put into the hit not enough to cause that much damage at all to be honest, but was enough to knock the wide out of her and leave the girl grasping for breathe. But was this the end? No, directly after this would have happened Yukio would have placed his sword all the way back in its sheathe then cradled his body into hers. Upon doing this Yukio wrapped his left arm around her body from the side to the back. With their bodies pressed together and his grasp upon her Sakura would have little chance to try an retaliate if possible after the blow she had received in mid-flight. Using the momentum once more Yukio twisted his body then swung Sakura into the ground, her back landed against the soil which would knock the breathe back into her and return her breathing patterns to normal. When this was done Yukio used his own body to pin the girl against the ground, his left hand pressed against one of her wrists as his body lay just above her waist at the lower part of her torso. Having his blade pulled out with his right hand while he swung her to the ground, Yukio held the razor sharp sword in the direction of her neck, having enough courtesy to not have it gently placed against her skin in case she jerked from being startled and accidentally force him to cut her. With all of this completed Yukio locked his deep crimson eyes on Sakura's emerald greens ones once again, the soft smile returning to his face.

"You only get one warning. If you want to quit, now is the chance."

Yukio eagerly awaited the woman's response to his playful tease, having a feeling she might respond a little negatively to the mocking. None the less he was prepared for whatever she may throw at him next. Hopefully, she would admit defeat.

Whilst she slides intently towards him she notices an intense look in his eyes as he takes in her every movement and changes his body shape slightly as she approaches. The dust cloud then flicks up above her and she shoves the kunai into the ground. Sakura jumps round behind the tree but then, remembering the focus in his eyes and the sudden change in the posture of her oppoenent she spins her head round the right side of the tree and sees the dust cloud empty. Sakura, bemused by how he was able to escape so fluently quickly hops onto her feet and remains in a crouched position with her back to the tree, from this position Sakura looks around above her and around her in quick sharp glances keeping her ears open for any movement around her aswell.
Suddenly Sakura becomes aware of a rustling above her, glancing up she sees the thick layers of leaves in the tree shake, unable to take chances she dives quickly away from the tree she rests upon, mid dive she brings two fingers up in front of her face and detonates her tag, knowing that she had planted it close enough to the tree that if he was in it the shockwave would knock him and would make it hard for him to retain his balance. As she dives back and awaits the aftermath of her explosion she notices a bright light eminating from the top of the tree, unbeknownst to her he had planted his own tag in the tree as preparation for her move. The second tag explodes and sends the tree ablaze as well as throwing him out of the tree and into the air above. Sakura believing she was at a safe distance to his landing zone and a bit shaken from the close proximity and shockwaves of his explosion takes a knee and watches him whilst she regains the air that had been knocked out of her.

"heh... looks like I have a tough fight on my hands. Oh well, all the more rewarding when I win!"

Sakura on one knee and with her palm firmly on the floor beneath her stares at his body as it lays on the floor after bearing the brunt of his own explosion. She looks at his singed clothes and wonders whether it is over.

Or... have I won already?
