Yugito Akkipuden Episode 37: No Time Left
WARNING: All Jutsu are in Japanese with the English Version in parenthesis.
Author's Note: Yugito's beaten Kurama with Naruto's help! Now that she's won, she had to learn to control her new abilities with Bee #2 and Midori! As that's going on, Lady Hokage and her bodyguards return to the village… Not to mention that the Akatsuki are gathering their army!
Yugito opened her eyes and she was back in the area that she sat down in and Midori and Bee were standing next to her. She was still in her Bijū Mōdo.
Bee: Oh right! I knew you could do it, sista!
Midori: Nice job, Yugito! I don't know how, but you pulled it off! I knew you had it in you.
Yugito: I didn't do it alone.
Midori and Bee looked confused as she smiled at them.
Yugito: I had a little help… from someone very special.
Bee: Whoever you got help from; you'd better ask them for help again. This next part ain't fun!
Yugito: Next part? What next part?
Midori: Well, now that you've beaten the Kyuubi and gained his chakra, you've gotta learn to control it. Fair warning, it's nowhere near easy.
Yugito: Well… you know what I say?
Bee: Hm?
Yugito: Bring it on!
Bee: Now that's what I like to hear, Midori! She's a real Jinchūriki!
Midori (thinking): Hmph… I wish I was that excited when I did my Bijū training.
She looked at Yugito and she had her eyes closed and she was smiling at her and Bee.
Midori: Alrighty. Let's get started.
~Hidden Leaf Forest
Sakura, Sai and Shikamaru were walking through the Hidden Leaf Forest; they were heading back home. She had on her normal attire with her haori; a pink shirt with white circular designs on the back, black pants that stopped just above her ankles and sandal-boots that resemble her sandals from 27 years ago, but they were laced like Tsunade's.
Shikamaru: I wonder how things are back at home.
Sakura: Hopefully just as we left them. We left the village knowing we left it well protected against any threat.
Sai: Look!
Through the trees, Sai saw the village gates and pointed. The three quickly ran to the gates to see that they were nearly destroyed completely. Past the gates, the three saw that the village itself was in shambles. Several dozen buildings were demolished and people were dead all over the village. Ninja of all types, even the ANBU, were scattered around, helping the villagers and any fallen ninja. Even some Good Samaritan villagers were helping out.
Sakura: What the hell happened here?!
The three ran into the village and frantically looked around.
?: Hokage-sama!
Sakura looked to her left and saw Kitsune Inuzuka.
Kitsune: I thought I picked up your scent.
Sakura: Kitsune, what happened here? The village-!
Kitsune: It was the Akatsuki…
Shikamaru: No way!
Sakura: What?! They attacked us?!
Kitsune: Yes… There were eight of them… We're guessing that there goal was to free Prisoner 838.
Sakura: Prisoner 838… Isn't that-?
Shikamaru: Kabuto Yakushi…
Sai: Damn… What could the Akatsuki want with him?
Ino: Sakura!
Ino came running down the street with Kiba and Shino. The three stopped in front of Sakura, Kitsune and the others.
Sakura: Ino… How did this happen?
Ino: It happened randomly. We were caught off guard… We've got 300 plus casualties… among them are Hayate.
Her eyes grew wide. She charged forward, shoving Kiba and Shino out of the way. She was dashing for the Konoha Hospital.
Ino: Come on, you guys.
Ino along with Kiba, Shino, Sai and Shikamaru ran after her. She got to the hospital and went to the receptionist.
Sakura: Where is Hayate Haruno?
Receptionist (woman): Oh, Lady Hokage! He's…
She looked through her book of names and found his room.
Receptionist: First floor, Room 22.
She dashed down the hallway and found Room 22. She broke the door handle by mistake and pushed the door open. Hayate was in his hospital bed sleeping. His headband was off and he had a few bandages around his forehead and bandages around his right shoulder; the force of the clash with Seiji dislocated his shoulder. Sakura's eyes were wide and tears began to form. She walked over to his bed and looked at him. She closed her eyes and clinched her teeth together as the tears came rolling down her face. She hugged him, put her cheek on his and cried even harder. She began rubbing his spiky hair.
Hayate (waking up): Hm? Mom?
Sakura sat up and sighed. She looked into Hayate's eyes and began crying tears of joy.
Hayate: Hey, Mom. How'd the Summit go?
Before she could answer, the others made it to his room. Kiba, Ino, Shino, Sai and Shikamaru entered.
Kiba: Aside the village getting hammered, we've got news that's bad, if not worse than this situation.
Ino: Kakashi sensei… is… dead…
Sakura looked back with wide eyes.
Sakura: What?!
Shino: One of his ninken brought us a scroll… He died sometime last night against an Akatsuki member.
Ino: He left a few spots of his blood on the scroll and the material the scroll was made out of made it easy for us to extract it and preserve it so the First Hokage's cells aren't lost forever.
Sakura clinched her fists tightly.
Sakura: Have you informed the other nations?
Kiba: Yeah. We've already taken care of that.
Sakura: Sasuke… Naruto… and now Kakashi sensei… I'm sick of losing my friends… Make sure every available ninja is prepped for battle! We're going to war against the Akatsuki!
Ino: But! We just ended a war against the Iwa and Kiri. Is another war the best idea-?
Sakura: It's already been decided. The Gokage Summit was crashed by the Akatsuki and since we refuse to hand over the Jinchūriki, they waged war against the Nations once again.
Kiba: Dammit…
Shino: I'll alert the village of the appending war.
He turned and exited the room.
Ino: There's one more thing that's recently happened…
Sakura: What…
Ino: It's Yugito… She's gone missing…
Sakura: What?! Again!?
Hayate: She's not missing.
Everyone looked to Hayate.
Hayate: She… She went to the Island Turtle with Midori-chan and Bee daini (Bee the Second).
Everyone: What?!
They all looked at each other and the bolted out of the room.

Midori and Bee were training Yugito to use her strength well in combat. But first was balance. She was upside down and using a chakra arm to balance herself. She was focusing to the best of her abilities.
~Akatsuki Hideout
The hideout was quiet with the exception of ninja sandals clacking down the hallway. Pazuzū was leading Shiromaro, the man from the Village Hidden in Hot Water and the user of the Kaguya Clan's Shikotsumyaku. Shiromaro was in the standard Akatsuki attire. They came across a door and Pazuzū knocked three times.
Itachi (behind the door): Come in.
Pazuzū opened the door and let Shiromaro in first. He didn't enter and closed the door behind Shiromaro.
Itachi: Glad you've come to see me.
Shiromaro: What do you want, you worthless trash?
Itachi: Ouch. I don't think that's a good way to talk to someone that has complete power over your village.
Shiromaro was quiet.
Itachi: That's better. Now, I wanted to be sure that we're clear on my terms. You fight alongside the Akatsuki and we don't slaughter your village. I know you'd do anything to protect your people, especially your wife and unborn child.
Shiromaro clinched his fist.
Itachi: As long as you don't do anything stupid, your people live. Pretty simple, yes?
Shiromaro: Why me?
Itachi: Hm?
Shiromaro: Out of everyone, why me?
Itachi: I have nothing against you personally, but your skills are worthy of recognition. I've been watching you for a few years and I know the lengths you'll go to protect your village. You've been defending the Hot Water Village from bandits and rogue ninja for quite some time, so I decided to use your power in my favor.
Shiromaro: Don't you dare lay a hand on any of my villagers.
Itachi: Do as I say, and we've got a deal.
Shiromaro narrowed his eyes and slightly tilted his head towards Itachi who was sitting in his stone chair. Someone knocked on the door to his room.
Itachi (calling out): Enter.
In walked Kabuto who was wearing a custom version of the Akatsuki cloak. The cloak was very long, barely dragging along the ground and he had a hood and chin-high collar. The chin-high collar went around the front of his head and about halfway, the hood began and he was wearing it. Shiromaro looked back at Kabuto and then to Itachi. Itachi nudged his head to the right and Shiromaro made his exit, closing the door behind himself.
Itachi: What is it?
Kabuto: I've completed both tasks you've given me. Follow me if you wish to see my work.
Itachi stood from his chair. Kabuto exited and he followed.
Itachi: Done already? You're faster than you look.
Kabuto: I've done this before. It's a cakewalk if you have all of the right tools like you've given me.
Itachi: Hmph. Well let's see what you've got.
Kabuto led him to the room that was the furthest back, behind the Gedō Mazō. He opened the door and let Itachi in first, closing the door after he entered. The room was dark and lit by 4 wall-mounted torches in each corner of the room. In the center of the room were 8 caskets sitting up vertically; each had its lid over it. He did the Seal of Confrontation and all of the casket doors fell open.
Kabuto: From left to right, we've got: Gari, Kimimaro, Deidara, Kakuzu, Kisame, Konan, Hidan and Nagato. Edo Tensei complete.
Itachi: This is quite the lineup. Very impressive.
Kabuto: Let's not forget about the 100,000 White Zetsu I've created using Hashirama's cells. They're placed in a giant cell underground and they're combat ready. All done in a timely fashion. Now, if you don't mind me asking, where is my reward?
Itachi: You are not finished.
Kabuto (confused): Hm? "Not" finished?
Itachi: I want you to stay here and control the Edo Tensei from this location. It's safe. Once the war is over, you'll get what you want.
Itachi turned and began walking away.
Kabuto: Wait! This wasn't a part of the agreement-!
Itachi abruptly stopped and looked over his shoulder, his Sharingan eye glared at Kabuto. Kabuto quieted himself quickly and Itachi kept walking. He exited through the door and closed it behind himself.
Kabuto (thinking): Grr… I'm far too weak to oppose him at the moment… For now, whatever he says, goes.
Itachi navigated through the tunnels again and got back to the main room that had the Gedō Mazō. Using his ability to defy gravity, he levitated down 40 feet to the ground and stood in front of the enormous statue. Just then, the other Akatsuki members, including Shiromaro and Seiji, began coming from the different entrances to the room. They all leaped down from the balcony/edge that went around the room and landed in a line facing Itachi. Aijō left the line and went to Itachi, standing ro his right. They were all knelt down with their heads lowered.
Itachi: You may rise.
They all stood up and waited for what Itachi had to say.
Itachi: Let us be sure on a few things. This war is to capture the Nibi, Hachibi and Kyuubi. We will NOT fail. Once on the battlefield, you are to not return to this hideout unless you have a Jinchūriki with you. And even then, you risk being tracked back. So once you have a Jinchūriki captured, have a White Zetsu contact us and I will personally go onto the battlefield and retrieve you and the Jinchūriki. Anyone to return without my approval will be reprimanded… severely. Our newest member, Kabuto Yakushi, has created 100,000 clones of Zetsu and he will be the troops on the battlefield. A select few of you will be leading them onto the battlefield along with a few Edo Tensei Shinobi we've reincarnated to assist you.
Pazuzū: Edo Tensei Shinobi?
Itachi: I'll assign them to the selected Commanders in a moment. If the war exceeds five days, you will then be allowed back to the HQ to rest and recuperate. Nonetheless, this war will be won and I'll go to any length to ensure our victory. Our goal is to recreate the Juubi and use its power to rule the ninja world with an iron fist. Once we win, the survivors among us will be the Gods of this planet. Anything we want, we will get. Everyone will be under our control. We will be the rulers of this world.
Volterra, Zangeki and Pazuzū murmured in agreement while Kūkyo, Nikushimi, Seiji and Shiromaro stood quietly.
Itachi: Nikushimi, you're Edo Tensei support will be Hidan, who is a past member of the Akatsuki and Gari of the Bakuton, a former Explosion Corps member.
Nikushimi: My uncle?
Itachi nodded to her.
Itachi: Pazuzū, you will have Kisame and Konan with you. They are also previous Akatsuki members.
He nodded.
Itachi: Shiromaro, you will have Kakuzu, who is also a previous Akatsuki member and Kimimaro of the Kaguya Clan.
Shiromaro: Kaguya Clan?
Itachi: Yes, your clan. He possesses your clan's unique Shikotsumyaku Kekkei Genkai.
Shiromaro (thinking): Kimimaro…? I've never heard of him, yet he's one of my fellow clansmen? I thought I was the only one left…
Itachi: Kūkyo, you'll take our Leaf Village captive with you. His power and speed is comparable to that of the Yondaime Raikage's. His Raiton with yours will be enough, especially since I'm controlling him.
Kūkyo looked at Seiji, who was just standing there with a blank expression, and then looked back at Itachi. She nodded.
Itachi: And lastly… Zangeki, you'll have Deidara and Nagato with you, two previous Akatsuki members.
Volterra: Wait, what? What about me?
Itachi: You will stay here and guard Kabuto in case this location is found by the enemy.
Volterra: What?! These guys get to go to the frontlines and I get guard duty? What the hell kind of shit is this?
Itachi: During the Fourth Great Ninja War, someone found out the location that Kabuto was hiding in and back then, he was the mastermind behind the Edo Tensei used in the war. He was defeated and the Edo Tensei was stopped, which hurt the chances of Obito and Madara winning the war. You have the most important job out of everyone here.
Volterra clinched his teeth and turned around without saying a word. He walked away and went into a wall entrance, exiting the room.
Itachi: Hmph. As for the rest of you, rest now while you can. Soon… The war begins. Dismissed.
The others, with the exception of Aijō, dispersed.
Itachi: Aijō, you should rest as well. If she enters the battlefield, you should be ready.
Aijō nodded and went off to go to sleep. Itachi caught a smile on his face.
Itachi: Hmph…
