Yugito Akkipuden Episode 31: Cold

Author's Note: Sorry for the wait, but we're continuing with Yugito Akkipuden! Here's the start of Season 3! Last season, Yugito was offered to go to the Island Turtle for Bijū training, Hayate is going to talk to the rest of the Konoha 12 to get them to search for Seiji and Kakashi had just fought to the death with the Pein Rikudō (Six Paths of Pain). How will the Konohagakure take this horrifying news?!
A small, light brown dog with a blue ninja band around its neck was dashing through a dark forest. In its mouth was a white scroll with a green band around it. The ninja dog was frantically looking left and right as if he was making sure no one was following. While panting heavily, the dog continued to trot through the forest.
~Small Town along the Outskirts of the Land of Fire
Morning came around just as it had gone away. The birds were chirping and the townsfolk were running their morning errands. Sakura, Shikamaru and Sai were just leaving. They were waving bye to the villagers and were just about to continue on to the Land of Iron.
Sakura: Thanks for the luck! We'll see you guys later!
Sai: Let us not waste time, Sakura-sama.
She nodded and the three continued on to the Gokage Summit.
~Konohagakure Forest, Gathering Spot of the Konoha 12
Hayate had managed to contact the others of their Konoha 12 and they all were gathered in an open area in the forest. There were logs scattered around to sit on and trees all around to hangout in. The area they were in was nearly as big as the open space in the Forest of Quiet Movement.
Author's Note: The Forest of Quiet Movement is a battle arena in the Naruto Storm series of games.
Izumi: Do you guys remember a few years ago how we use to always come to this spot?
Hitomi: We'd come out to this spot nearly every day and just hangout and train together.
Toshiro: It's so nostalgic…
Kota: Remember when Katashi-kun and Lee-san would always fight for no reason at all?
Everyone chuckled and laughed. Katashi lowered his head and looked away in embarrassment. Han Lee walked over to him and put his arm around his shoulder. He gave him a few friendly nudges.
Kenta: Hey, Hayate. Where's Yugito-chan?
Hayate: Midori and Bee-san visited us yesterday when we were getting ramen. They offered to take her to the Island Turtle for Bijū training.
Shikoku: Island Turtle?
Kota: What's that?
Hayate: It's where Jinchūriki can go to learn to control their Bijū.
Izumi: Yeah, she definitely needs some help to control that fox.
Shikoku: Agreed.
Everyone murmured in agreement with the exception of Asuka. She was leaning against a tree away from everyone. She was looking at the ground and had her arms crossed; her eyes were lost in thought.
Hayate: Uh… Well, the actual reason I called everyone out here is because I wanted to talk about Seiji.
Asuka looked over to him.
Izumi: Yeah, where is he?
Hayate: I think only Yugito, Asuka and I know… But Seiji went missing.
Hitomi: I thought he went on a mission with you?
Hayate: He did… Hokage-sama didn't want to spread the news around to the whole village because she feared that panic would strike.
Kota: Well, damn! We've gotta get out there and find him!
Shikoku: Are there any leads to where he could be?!
Hayate: Not yet…
Han Lee: When did he go missing?
Hayate: Two nights ago. The same night that Dan-sama went missing.
Toshiro: There's no questioning this. Whether we have permission of not, we're going to find our friend.
Kenta: Agreed.
Kota: No doubt.
Asuka's face began to light up in happiness. Hayate looked at her and noticed her attitude changed.
Hayate: Alright, we're going to have to break off into two teams. Lee-san, you, Asuka, Kenta, Kota and myself are one team. Izumi, you, Toshiro, Hitomi, Shikoku and Katashi are the other team.
Everyone cheered in agreement.
Hayate: Now let's go find him!
?: Search no further.
Before they could even look up to see who was talking to them, a blue flash of light zipped past everyone, hitting them and sending them sliding across the ground; he even hit Izumi ninken, Kiyoshi. Everyone let out a yell of pain. Hayate sat up and saw an unfamiliar woman. It was Aijō of the Akatsuki and she was flouting several feet above the ground on a dark grey, steel platform. She had her arms folded and her face was expressionless.
Hayate: Is everyone alright?
Kenta (sitting up): Yeah… What the hell hit us?
Standing a few meters away from them was exactly who they were about to search for, their friend Seiji. He was fully clad in his Raiton no Yoroi (Lighting Style Armor) and he had on the clothing of the Akatsuki, right down to the white stirrups on the sandals. He even had a line through his headband and had his finger and toenails painted black. Asuka looked at his eyes and saw that his eyes were totally different.
Asuka (thinking): He's in the Akatsuki's attire… and his eyes… They've dilated and it's dark around his eye sockets. His skin is slightly pale and his face is emotionless… cold… That's not Seiji-kun…
Izumi: Seiji-kun! What the hell are you doing?! That hurt ya know!
Toshiro: Why is he in the Akatsuki cloak? Did he join them?
Hayate: Hell no. He'd never join these guys.
Shikoku: What's wrong with his eyes?
Izumi: Huh?
She looked closer and noticed the same thing that Asuka noticed. Kiyoshi barked and growled at Seiji; even she knew that something was wrong with Seiji.
Katashi: What the hell are you doing in an Akatsuki cloak?!
Hayate: They must've done something to him.
Toshiro: Hm?
Kota: What?
Hitomi: What do you mean, Hayate-kun?
Hayate: He didn't mysteriously disappear… The Akatsuki kidnapped him!
Han Lee: They kidnapped him?! Well let us take him back!
Aijō: Have fun.
She began floating away towards the Hidden Leaf.
Han Lee: Stop her!
Lee, Kota, Kenta and Izumi began to run after her. Seiji appeared several meters in front of them, cutting them off. His speed was so great that there was a trail of lightning when he dashed in front of them. Kenta gasped. He looked back at the spot Seiji was standing and then looked forward again.
Kenta: He's so fast!
Hayate: It's his Raiton no Yoroi. It gives him a tremendous speed boost.
Asuka: It looks like he won't let us stop her…
Shikoku: We're gonna have to go through him.
Hayate: I hate to do this… But we have no choice. Whatever trance Seiji-kun is in, we're gonna have to knock him out of it!
Everyone got in their fighting stance. Aijō was still floating off towards the Lead Village.
Aijō (thinking): *chuckles* It seems Sasuke-dono was right. He managed to tap into this kid's memory and found out those group of kids are his closest friends. How lovely. They get to kill each other off.
She continued to the Konoha on her platform of dark grey steel.
~Eastern Land of Lightning
Yugito, Bee and Midori were walking through the Western Land of Lightning towards the docks. They were in the forest area could see the water a little bit of a distance away.
Yugito: So… About this Bijū training…
Midori: Curious huh? I'm not going to sugar coat it, this training is going to be one of the hardest things you've done or ever do in your life.
Yugito's eyes grew wide. She'd never have guessed it would be that difficult.
Yugito (thinking): Really? One of the hardest things I've ever done or will ever have to do? Damn… So excited…
Bee: A little while back, The Bee proved to be one tough jack. But once he put us through this trainin', nothin' but victory was reignin'.
Yugito (confused): Huh?
Midori: Basically, when we started our Bijū training, he was really tough on us. But it was for the best seeing as how we're two of the strongest Jinchūriki to date and we're so young. His Bijū training has led us to countless victory and nothing less.
Yugito: Oh…
Midori: It's okay. As long as we're here, we're gonna help you the whole way!
Bee: Oh right!
Yugito's expression finally seemed happy. She gave them a smile and noticed that the dock was in sight. The three continued to it and ran into a Cloud Ninja that was on guard duty.
Cloud Ninja: Hm? Oh hello Bee-sama and Midori-sama! What brings you two out to the docks?
Midori: We're going to the Island Turtle on a special mission assigned to us by the Raikage. Would you mind if we borrowed a boat to get there?
Cloud Ninja: Oh, of course not! Here, take your pick!
Bee: Thanks homie.
The three gathered in a medium sized canoe and Bee picked up a paddle.
Midori: Thank you for the help.
Cloud Ninja: Anytime. Hm?!
He noticed Yugito's face.
Cloud Ninja: Uh, is that Yugito-sama?! The Kyuubi Jinchūriki?!
Midori: Yes it is. Is there a problem with here being with us?
Cloud Ninja: Raikage-sama actually sent you two, alone, to the Konohagakure for her?!
Bee: No bakayaro, konoyaro! (Fool, ya fool!)
Midori: Our escorts have already returned to the village. It's alright, we didn't go alone.
Cloud Ninja: Oh… Y-Yes ma'am!
The three drifted off into the sea towards the Island Turtle.
Yugito: Did Raikage Darui really send you two for me?
Midori: Pfft, are you kidding? He'd never send us on a mission with the Akatsuki lurking around. We just felt like training you to control the Kyuubi.
Bee: Darui-sama is off to the Summit! So we're doing what the hell we want, dammit! It gets boring just sitting in the village, almost as boring as collecting wood to build a bridge, yo.
Yugito: That's understandable. I left the village without permission as well. The disappearance of Dan is starting to cause a lot of commotion in the village so I just took the chance to get away when I could.
Bee: No way?! Dan's missing?! Not okay!
Midori: Since when did Dan go missing?
Yugito: Two nights ago… Seiji-kun's missing too…
Bee: Your home skillet?! Ah damn, who did it?!
Yugito: We aren't sure… but Hayate-kun and the rest of our friends are out looking for him right now.
~Konohagakure Forest, Gathering Spot of the Konoha 12
Seiji was in his Raiton no Yoroi (Lightning Style Armor) and standing before the incomplete Konoha 12. Everyone was looking back and forth, unsure if they were really about to attack their friend or not.
Hayate: Shikoku-san, think up a strategy to restrain Seiji-kun.
Shikoku: On it.
He closed his eyes and knelt down onto one knee while making a circle shape with his hands just like his father does.
Hayate: Half of us will stay here and help Shikoku restrain him while the other half goes after the girl.
Kota: Sounds like a plan.
Hayate: Toshiro, Katashi, Asuka and I will stay. You five get going and catch her! She's headed towards the village.
Kenta: You got it! Now all we gotta do is get passed him.
Izumi: I got this. Let's hit it, Kiyoshi!
Kiyoshi barked in agreement. Izumi did the "Tiger" hand seal and in a cloud of grey smoke, Kiyoshi turned into an exact clone of Izumi. The two then did two back flips to gain distance between themselves and Seiji. They then ran at him at full speed. While running, the two clapped hands together and then began spinning at ferocious speeds. They angled themselves upward and then down at Seiji. She let out a hyena-like scream as she and Kiyoshi dove towards the target.
Izumi: Gatsūga!
They collided with the ground and ricocheted into the nearby trees, destroying them easily. Asuka looked around the area and scanned for Seiji. She looked up and pointed.
Asuka: There!
He had jumped back and got several meters above the ground. He landed on a tree branch and knelt down onto one knee. The Akatsuki cloak covered him like a shroud, revealing nothing but his head.
Katashi: Damn! They missed!
Hayate: Go now!
Han Lee and the others with him made a dash for the direction Aijō had gone. Before they could reach the tree line, all five of them were hit with a series of melee attacks and were sent back to the others. After sliding across the ground, they all got back to their feet and stood with the others.
Katashi: Alright, it's safe to say that we have to bring him down together and then go after her.
Kenta: Agreed… Ow…
Hitomi activated her Byakugan and scanned the forest ahead to see if she could still see Aijō. A whopping 652 meters away was Aijō, still levitating on her steel platform.
Hitomi: I see her. She's still in range of my Byakugan!
Kota: We need to catch her before she reaches the village!
Hayate: Alright everyone… no more holding back. If Seiji is intent on stopping us from protecting the village, we have to no other choice. We have to take him down.
Asuka (think): No!
Toshiro: If he's seriously trying to destroy the village, then he's an enemy to us and we must kill him.
Asuka: You guys can't be serious! He's our friend! We can't just kill him!
Hayate: Asuka!
She was silent instantly.
Hayate: I know what he means to you; we all know. He's my best friend, but if he's with the Akatsuki… then there's nothing we can do. I don't like it anymore than you do, but it has to be done for the sake of the village.
Asuka looked down and a tear started to form in her eye.
Asuka: Well, what if he's being controlled?! Seiji would never willingly do anything to harm the Konoha.
Hayate: Well… that's true…
Kenta: How do we know if he's being controlled or not?
Shikoku: I have an idea.
Everyone looked back at him. As they were looking, the hypnotized Seiji did the "Rat", "Hare", "Bird" and "Monkey" hand seals in that order. He held the last hand seal and lightning began forming at his hands. Kiyoshi barked at him and Izumi was the first to look.
Izumi: Watch it!
Everyone looked to see Seiji had lightning in both of his hands. He stuck his hands outward to either side of him and brought them in front. He put his hands together in the shape of a finger gun, using his index and middle fingers as the barrel and his thumbs as the hammer.
Hayate: Be ready to counter.
As he said that, he put his thumbs down as if the hammer of a gun was firing. A bolt of lightning was shot from his fingers and the kick of the shot caused his arms to bend at the elbows and his hands came near his face. He had fired the bolt at Asuka. The speed of the bolt caught her off guard and she was unable to think of a counter in time. Her brother, Katashi, shoulder tackled her out of the way and the bolt of lightning shot straight through the left side of his chest. Everyone instantly caught a shocked expression on their faces.
The force of the jutsu caused Katashi to fall back a few feet. Asuka, Shikoku and Hayate quickly went to his aid. Katashi was bleeding vigorously from his chest, back and mouth and began to choke on his own blood. Asuka held up his head and tried talking to him.
Asuka (crying): Katashi?! Katashi, look at me! You're going to be okay! You're-!
His eyes began rolling to the back of his head and his eyes began to close. As he took his last few breaths, his head rolled over to face Asuka but before he could attempt to speak, he was dead.
Asuka (crying): Katashi…?
After he didn't answer, she buried her face in his chest and began crying even harder. Hayate rubbed her back while Shikoku checked him for a pulse.
At the sight of his friend on the ground, Han Lee looked at Seiji and began clinching his fists and teeth tightly. His skin began turning red from the increases blood flow in his body and his hair was flowing upward. The Keimon (Gate of Joy or Sixth Gate) had been opened. Kiyoshi was growling viciously at Seiji, who was just standing there with that same blank expression. Izumi held out a food pill to Kiyoshi's mouth and she liked it out of her hand. Izumi also ate one and then held the "Tiger" hand seal. She caused a giant cloud of grey smoke to appear. Once it cleared, it was revealed that she had activated the Jinjū Konbi Henge: Sōtōrō or the Inuzuka Style: Man Beast Transformation Combo: Two-Headed Wolf. After forming the proper hand seal, Kenta expanded into a supersized version of himself.
Kenta: Chō Baika no Jutsu!
He stood next to Izumi and Kiyoshi's collaboration technique. With her Byakugan activated, Hitomi focused her chakra to her hands and created a lion's head out of chakra around each fist. She had successfully used her aunt's technique, the Juhō Sōshiken (Gentle Step: Twin Lion Fists). Kota used his tattoos on his palms to summon a long scythe in his left hand and the Bashōsen in his right. Lastly, Toshiro waved the proper hand seals or the Summoning Jutsu.
Toshiro: Kuchiyose no Jutsu.
He placed his palm on the ground and from the ground emerged an extremely large Kidaichū, destroying the ground as it fought its way to the surface. Toshiro stood on the head of the insect and put his hands into his jacket pockets. He then lowered his head to where only his eyes could be seen passed his nose-high collar.
Kota: Seiji, if you can hear me, you've royally screwed up.
All six of the, now angry, Konoha 12 friends were standing before the emotionless Seiji, ready to strike him down.

Bee: Your home skillet?! Ah damn, who did it?!
Yugito: We aren't sure… but Hayate-kun and the rest of our friends are out looking for him right now.
~Konohagakure Forest, Gathering Spot of the Konoha 12
Seiji was in his Raiton no Yoroi (Lightning Style Armor) and standing before the incomplete Konoha 12. Everyone was looking back and forth, unsure if they were really about to attack their friend or not.
Hayate: Shikoku-san, think up a strategy to restrain Seiji-kun.
Shikoku: On it.
He closed his eyes and knelt down onto one knee while making a circle shape with his hands just like his father does.
Hayate: Half of us will stay here and help Shikoku restrain him while the other half goes after the girl.
Kota: Sounds like a plan.
Hayate: Toshiro, Katashi, Asuka and I will stay. You five get going and catch her! She's headed towards the village.
Kenta: You got it! Now all we gotta do is get passed him.
Izumi: I got this. Let's hit it, Kiyoshi!
Kiyoshi barked in agreement. Izumi did the "Tiger" hand seal and in a cloud of grey smoke, Kiyoshi turned into an exact clone of Izumi. The two then did two back flips to gain distance between themselves and Seiji. They then ran at him at full speed. While running, the two clapped hands together and then began spinning at ferocious speeds. They angled themselves upward and then down at Seiji. She let out a hyena-like scream as she and Kiyoshi dove towards the target.
Izumi: Gatsūga!
They collided with the ground and ricocheted into the nearby trees, destroying them easily. Asuka looked around the area and scanned for Seiji. She looked up and pointed.
Asuka: There!
He had jumped back and got several meters above the ground. He landed on a tree branch and knelt down onto one knee. The Akatsuki cloak covered him like a shroud, revealing nothing but his head.
Katashi: Damn! They missed!
Hayate: Go now!
Han Lee and the others with him made a dash for the direction Aijō had gone. Before they could reach the tree line, all five of them were hit with a series of melee attacks and were sent back to the others. After sliding across the ground, they all got back to their feet and stood with the others.
Katashi: Alright, it's safe to say that we have to bring him down together and then go after her.
Kenta: Agreed… Ow…
Hitomi activated her Byakugan and scanned the forest ahead to see if she could still see Aijō. A whopping 652 meters away was Aijō, still levitating on her steel platform.
Hitomi: I see her. She's still in range of my Byakugan!
Kota: We need to catch her before she reaches the village!
Hayate: Alright everyone… no more holding back. If Seiji is intent on stopping us from protecting the village, we have to no other choice. We have to take him down.
Asuka (think): No!
Toshiro: If he's seriously trying to destroy the village, then he's an enemy to us and we must kill him.
Asuka: You guys can't be serious! He's our friend! We can't just kill him!
Hayate: Asuka!
She was silent instantly.
Hayate: I know what he means to you; we all know. He's my best friend, but if he's with the Akatsuki… then there's nothing we can do. I don't like it anymore than you do, but it has to be done for the sake of the village.
Asuka looked down and a tear started to form in her eye.
Asuka: Well, what if he's being controlled?! Seiji would never willingly do anything to harm the Konoha.
Hayate: Well… that's true…
Kenta: How do we know if he's being controlled or not?
Shikoku: I have an idea.
Everyone looked back at him. As they were looking, the hypnotized Seiji did the "Rat", "Hare", "Bird" and "Monkey" hand seals in that order. He held the last hand seal and lightning began forming at his hands. Kiyoshi barked at him and Izumi was the first to look.
Izumi: Watch it!
Everyone looked to see Seiji had lightning in both of his hands. He stuck his hands outward to either side of him and brought them in front. He put his hands together in the shape of a finger gun, using his index and middle fingers as the barrel and his thumbs as the hammer.
Hayate: Be ready to counter.
As he said that, he put his thumbs down as if the hammer of a gun was firing. A bolt of lightning was shot from his fingers and the kick of the shot caused his arms to bend at the elbows and his hands came near his face. He had fired the bolt at Asuka. The speed of the bolt caught her off guard and she was unable to think of a counter in time. Her brother, Katashi, shoulder tackled her out of the way and the bolt of lightning shot straight through the left side of his chest. Everyone instantly caught a shocked expression on their faces.
The force of the jutsu caused Katashi to fall back a few feet. Asuka, Shikoku and Hayate quickly went to his aid. Katashi was bleeding vigorously from his chest, back and mouth and began to choke on his own blood. Asuka held up his head and tried talking to him.
Asuka (crying): Katashi?! Katashi, look at me! You're going to be okay! You're-!
His eyes began rolling to the back of his head and his eyes began to close. As he took his last few breaths, his head rolled over to face Asuka but before he could attempt to speak, he was dead.
Asuka (crying): Katashi…?
After he didn't answer, she buried her face in his chest and began crying even harder. Hayate rubbed her back while Shikoku checked him for a pulse.
At the sight of his friend on the ground, Han Lee looked at Seiji and began clinching his fists and teeth tightly. His skin began turning red from the increases blood flow in his body and his hair was flowing upward. The Keimon (Gate of Joy or Sixth Gate) had been opened. Kiyoshi was growling viciously at Seiji, who was just standing there with that same blank expression. Izumi held out a food pill to Kiyoshi's mouth and she liked it out of her hand. Izumi also ate one and then held the "Tiger" hand seal. She caused a giant cloud of grey smoke to appear. Once it cleared, it was revealed that she had activated the Jinjū Konbi Henge: Sōtōrō or the Inuzuka Style: Man Beast Transformation Combo: Two-Headed Wolf. After forming the proper hand seal, Kenta expanded into a supersized version of himself.
Kenta: Chō Baika no Jutsu!
He stood next to Izumi and Kiyoshi's collaboration technique. With her Byakugan activated, Hitomi focused her chakra to her hands and created a lion's head out of chakra around each fist. She had successfully used her aunt's technique, the Juhō Sōshiken (Gentle Step: Twin Lion Fists). Kota used his tattoos on his palms to summon a long scythe in his left hand and the Bashōsen in his right. Lastly, Toshiro waved the proper hand seals or the Summoning Jutsu.
Toshiro: Kuchiyose no Jutsu.
He placed his palm on the ground and from the ground emerged an extremely large Kidaichū, destroying the ground as it fought its way to the surface. Toshiro stood on the head of the insect and put his hands into his jacket pockets. He then lowered his head to where only his eyes could be seen passed his nose-high collar.
Kota: Seiji, if you can hear me, you've royally screwed up.
All six of the, now angry, Konoha 12 friends were standing before the emotionless Seiji, ready to strike him down.
