His hair is typically held in a simple bun via a red pin. Generally speaking, Yu Han Sung's appearance is quite androgynous, and only distinguished by vivid amber eyes, regardless of whether or not the Falcon's Eye is presently active. His typical clothing includes navy blue and yellowish-gold hanbok lacking goreum (coat-strings), instead preferring to use a rather decorative, metallic red wing to keep the jeogori closed. To demonstrate his clan affiliation, both sleeves of the jeogori are adorned with the kanji for "Hayabusa" (隼) and the back is marked by an older version of the taiji. Underneath the same jeogori, he usually opts to wear a simple navy blue shirt with matching armbands. Insofar as the lower body is concerned, he wears loose-fitting navy blue baji paired with gold slippers. Lastly, Yu Han Sung usually wears a blue rope belt around his waist, tied in a bow, in which he carries two scrolls. The first and larger scroll is known to be the summoning contract for monkeys; the second and much smaller scroll details much of the Hayabusa clan's spiritual traditions. Whenever Yu Han Sung is traveling, he makes sure to carry a basic tool pouch connected to the back of his blue rope belt, along with a giant war fan for emergent conflict. |

He is addicted to instant food, particularly coffee, resulting in him being the recipient of many jokes. Behind this simple jovial facade, however, lies his "chairman" persona - the "Submerged Fish"; he makes people "fight each other for his advantage", but more generally to preserve the status quo of the Hayabusa clan. Undoubtedly, he has knack for manipulating not only those close to him, but also unwitting strangers. Furthermore, he is utterly remorseless in regards to any action undertaken for the sake of the Hayabusa village, and still retains notoriety for his past practice of murdering individuals, of all ages associated with either the Vigoor clan or the Black Spider clan, on sight. This lethal temperament has been gradually curbed over the years, but Yu Han Sung's past still compels him to instinctively rile his chakra whenever either enemy clan is mentioned in great detail, with the implicit understanding that his murderous past could resurface if and when his clan should become targeted once more..

Prior to the assault on the Hayabusa village, which culminated in the deaths of several fellow clan members, he spent his time interchangeably between loitering around the Dragon Shrine and receiving tutelage from Genjiro-sensei. In the following years' aftermath of the aforementioned conflict, Yu Han Sung was elevated to the position of shrine guardian, in accordance with his older sister's, Momiji's, ascendance to shrine priestess after the passing of Kureha. Beyond protecting both the Dragon Shrine estate and his sister, he is the caretaker of the former - solely responsible for the former's upkeep whilst Momiji leads the spiritual exercises. Given his status as the younger brother to Momiji, he is also the maternal uncle to both Reborn and Nanashi, of whom the former is highly favored (the latter having spent too much time with his head in the clouds). Amid his nephew's training, Yu Han Sung was an avid observer; after Reborn's return, he was an ardent supporter of his birthright to lead the clan as the sole remaining descendant of the direct line. Presently, and as a constituent of the Sanjinmon (Three Gods Branch), his sincerest ambition is to further his knowledge of Wuji and eventually become a Head Ninja within the Hayabusa clan. In spite of being a proper recipient of Genjiro-sensei's tutelage, he feels that it will ultimately be his nephew (Reborn) who will fulfill his enlightenment and thus, enable him to instruct the younger generations of the clan in the ways of Wuji.
