From Nerd Rage, to My Ballz, to Shitty G, YourFavoriteMartian (or YFM) has struck millions around the world with joy and catchy beats.
"Planet Earth, I need a friend. I'm on the inside looking in. I'm an Alien. I'm an Alien. Feeling lost, but never found. I found myself being pushed around. I'm an Alien. I'm an Alien." - Alien;YourFavoriteMartian
So me, being the average YouTuber and critic, I decided to do a little bit more in-depth digging on the history of this band. So, I recently e-mailed the big Johnson himself and he responded with a few minor details (being all secretive), but had this to say about the band:
"... so it's just a fun hobby we do. The entire cast of the show and songs are not 100 percent directly linked to =3, so we like to think of ourselves as a whole different channel. As to answer your question, yes. We are still working on songs and we don't plan on stopping anytime soon."
The band's first song "My Ballz", was originated from an old band that Johnson associated with back in 2009. He has currently disbanded and officialy works with YFM, not planning on doing any other collaborations in the forseeable future.
As for the other voices of the band (Deejay and Axel), they have yet to respond to my emails.
This band is both a fun and exciting experience. Granted, my personal opinion on all of them vary from bad to fantastic, but at least they get the job done, and I'd say it's one hell of a ride for a cartoon.
