Minato ftg is the fast thing in naruto.
Naruto has close to ftg speed with out using ftg
Raikage was titled fastest shinobi after minato died
Itachi it was said when he runs shorts distances it appears as if he's teleporting as seen in manga/anime
Gai/lee with gates. We've all seen what these two can do.

I put him as my 5th, if i'm excluding gated gai and lee.....Sasuke was able to dodge killer bee's kcloak, and sasuke is 4.5 speed, itachi is 5 speed, and blitzed kunernai and kakashi with body flicker in part 1, they were unable to read his movements at all, it seemed like he wasn't moving, just appearing places.....and if itachi had that level of body flicker and wasn't feared for it like shishui , I believe shishui at least > itachi's speed.....

Itachi didn't have a nickname, I have never seen a missing-nin with a nickname. Have you? Pain doesn't count as he actually wasn't a missing-nin but the kage of his village and called himself that.

Did Kisame or Deidara or Hidan or Kakuzu or Sasori have nicknames?

Zabuza did, but he got that nickname before becoming a missing-nin.

Itachi has more than enough attributes to get him stupid nickname. And as for his speed, it has been praised in literally every battle, so yeah. One doesn't need a nickname to be awesome at something.

Itachi. I believe the direct quote says " Only Itachi Uchiha could control someone at those distances"

If you honestly think that Itachi's Tsukuyomi is unworthy of a nickname then I have nothing more to say to you. The way you are completely disregarding skills used in the manga is just baffling. The only person that ever got out of Itachi's genjutsu on their own was Sasuke and that can be argued that Itachi wasn't really going to keep him trapped in Tsukuyomi since he wanted to fight and draw out Orochimaru and then lose to Sasuke.


EDIT: Also you asked if being better at controlling someone made Itachi a better genjutsu user. Well yes almost by the very definition of it. Maybe one time every ten years Shisui was better than him, well I guess two times because he had two eyes, so two times every decade Shisui was the best. Other than that Itachi was.


Also how do you expect the story of Itachi's skill to get around? If you are a missing nin you don't just go strolling into villages displaying your skills all the time. Shisui was older than Itachi and wasn't a missing-nin so villages would actually know about him. There is a reason nobody other than Jiraiya (and Akatsuki) knew about Akatsuki for the longest time, they are secretive. Deidara had bombs, did any of the other villages know about that? How about Hidan and kakuzu's abilities? And what about Kinkaku and Ginkaku? They were pseudo-jinchurikis and no one seemed to know about them other than the hidden cloud (their own village).

Missing-nin aren't given credit by the villages because they are criminals. You don't go around lauding the abilities of your criminals now do you?

if we say with buffs: minato with FTG , naruto with KM , Guy with 8 gates, raikage with his lightning shield , itachi with nothing
it would be like

lets say now without buffs: minato without FTG, naruto without KM or SM, raikage without lightning shield, guy without the 8 gates

Well according to Kakashi Itachi's Speed was Amazing...and if I am not mistaken Tobi praised Kakashi for his speed and Itachi's speed was greater than Kakashi's.

He actually said his Jutsu speed was amazing. Surprisingly no one ever commented on itachis speed alone. Even while he was fighting sasuke zetsu commented on sasukes speed and not itachis. I still think itachi is faster than both sasuke and kakashi. Tho kakashi is very fast.
