It was more then just for a laugh Dx Prob not the best story/plot, but I connected with the characters, so that makes a really good anime in my book. In my opinion anyway.
The baseball episode was funny xd Especially the old guy, "Step over my corpse.." Lol

I'ts good up until shishio(sp?) is done. kenshin was the type of hero that would tell you in a nice way he was gonna whip your ass, explain how he's whipping your while he's whipping your ass, then after your ass is whipped you have a drastic change in your life. the dude was unreal.
so, what are the guidelines here. i mean, our favorite action animes, our favorite detective animes, our favorite mecha animes, our favorite romance/slice of life animes, martial arts animes.... i love tons of animes for different reason. My list may be more eclectic:

If you mean shounens (young male protagonists), then Darker than Black is amazing, Death Note, Bleach, One Piece, Black Cat.
