I couldn't come up with a better title .
Today i had gone to the market to buy groceries , while i was shopping , i saw this little girl sitting at the side of a pavement and by the looks of her , she was 5-8 years old .
Her clothes were all torn up and she was there selling little boxes of firecrackers barely enough to cover anything even if she was able to sell them all . She only had like 4-5 box of them and all of them were small as well .
I couldn't help but notice how in such a crowded market ( it is festival time , so lot of people were shopping) , not even a single person would come there and help her .
I had enough money , so i decided that i will buy all the items on the list ( just 4) and give all the remaining money to the girl .
I barely took 5 minutes to finish shopping , but when i returned to the place where she was sitting , she was not there . Leaving me with a guilt that i should have helped her earlier or asked or told her to wait right there until bring some of my sister's old clothes for her .
I know that its just one child and there are millions more who are suffering in the same way or even worse but even helping one should make a difference imo .
So what are your thoughts on this ?. Have you ever been in a similar situation where you were left with guilt or how do you feel when you see people suffering like this .
