Oh yeah i did remember that, i wonder why because at first it seemed that sasuke had potential to become the new madara and now he talks with the hokages and it would seem he's about to have a change of heart :/.... so in other words what kurama said to him back then was just to have casual conversation with him? lol

I honestly think that Kishimoto actually did forget about Yamato.

Kishimoto is a professional writer/artist. With a complex story such as Naruto it might seem easy to forget certain characters, but I'm positive he has things planned out all the way to the end and Yamato is probably somewhere in there. I am quite certain of this because I am a writer myself. I am aiming at writing six books (Having written one already and half way through the second) all with a continueous storyline with lots of characters and side plots. It gets really messy if you don't have the end planned already and you tend to forget things that way. So yea, I'm positive Kishimoto hasn't forgotten about Yamato.

Tobi theory- i had theories about him being iether izuna or the elder son which made a lot more sense than him being obito, and still do.

Orochimaru- i hypothesised that his white snake form is actually a mokuton variant, due to its regenerating properties and his reserach to cut a long story short. obviously with oro possessing a zetsu that theory has been shot to pieces.

Orochimaru has, I think, pumped himself full of Hashirama cells as much as bodybuilders pump themselves with steroids. Don't know if it is related but... both him and Hashi are able to summon Rashomon. He also helped Danzo with his arm and practically created Yamato.
