[Discussion] Your take on one piece

I began watching one piece a while ago, and I've gotten a bit far now, i think it's an awesome anime, at least the most enjoyable I have ever watched, even more enjoyable that Naruto, i enjoy the concept of pirates, bounty hunters, the power hierarchy, warlords, emperors and even the admirals, but my idiot friends all have discouraging comments on the anime, some say its too long to start, some say the fight scenes are too lame or the drawing is lame, others claim they have watched it and its no that interesting, so base whats your take on the anime?

A lot of prejudice. My best friend says it looks autistic as fuk and is made by retards :/ Tho he never seen it, I guess he just disliked anime in general..but it's still annoying cause he is similar to me and im sure he would like it

It's my favorite manga along with Naruto.

But it's not for everyone, some people just can't get into it.

I've tried getting into it, but I just can't. I have no doubt its a great manga and anime, I just can't bring myself to enjoy it.
