I don't think it would tarnish character's reps. Obito would actually get with a chick making him more badass in my book, and it would show Kurenai can move on. In real life, after a significant other dies (like Asuma), the other significant other almost always moves on. Sometimes really quickly, so it would make this manga more realistic for me.

I wouldn't like it because in my opinion, getting with another chick would make Obito even more of an idiot to me. Hasn't like everything Obito has done in his life been done cuz of Rin? That would mean basically his entire life up to him with Kurenai would be a waste. And also, at least to me, you don't need to get with someone else to show you have moved on. I agree with you saying it would make the manga more realistic but for me i dont care as much for that at this point. Also, Obito as a father..........just no. Then if somthing happened to Kurenai, boom, the 5th great Ninja war.
