Yeah I was like that too - didn't think Id enjoy reading manga and only started reading Naruto/OP because of their animes - until I read Berserk, and found that it blew Nardo/OP out of the water in every way imaginable. If you can enjoy manga at all (I know a lot of folk still only read Nardo/OP because the anime is behind in plot), trust me, there are way better manga out there than the big shonen three.
