I am curious on what people on this forum think about the deep web. Has the internet given the option for psychos to expand on their fetishes and dark desires?
Here is a little bit of what I have to say of it. Deep web=a stage to carry our your dark thoughts.To an extent yes it is definitely encouraging people to do very bad stuff but It's not something that is too out of the ordinary.The content that you find on the deep web isn't a newly inspired exploitation. If you think about it in a critical way, humans have been doing despicable things since we can remember. How many of you know the true horrors of wars? How many of you know the true horrors of the old days?
Yes we hear vague stories and pictures of what use to happen but it's difficult to understand how bad things are/use to be without seeing it in flesh.War, after a bloodbath full of people getting sliced with cold steel, gutted like fishes and embarrassed the "winners" captured survivors. They tortured them and killed them. they raped and pillaged villages.Even though I would most definitely prefer these things to stop, I think to a certain extent it's a part of what humans are. I don't think It's supposed to be this way because it's a known fact, when you mass produce things there will be errors in some of the products. Maybe the people that carry out these vile acts are just the "broken" human. Not everyone has had the same safe,moral raising childhood, people have gone through many nightmarish things which could have had negative psychological affects on them.
