In my opinion, religion and belief aren't the same. Religion has become just another mass-controlling tool, while belief is what really matters.

Correction,
By labeling yourself a 'Christian' or 'atheist' you're limiting your self, thus making you closed-minded.
By referring to yourself as 'athiest', you're saying you aren't open to the idea that god exists. Still closed-minded.
That's what religious, sexual, and racial labels are for, sir. Limitation, stigmas, stereotypes, and most importantly...division. By causing division, they are preserving hatred and ignorance among the masses. Don't fall for it.
It's simply a tactic used by elites.
Why adopt such ridiculous labels.
Edit: By labeling yourself based off of what you believe in is basically arrogance, as well. Labeling yourself because you believe your ideology is worth mentioning. You're proud of it. Pride is another word for arrogance, in my opinion.
Pride is not acceptance.
Not exactly , me not caring about religion or god for that matter , technically makes me an Atheist to others , in today's society you are getting label either way , I don't mind it when it comes to the religion & technically you're either Atheist , Christian , Catholic no matter how you want to put it , being a puppet or close minded when it comes to sexuality or everything your religion is against it ....it's up to you if you decide to believe on it or not & go with or against with the flow .
My religion is.... ~Science~
I have a strong dislike for religion, why? What is wrong with inciting intense dislike of a religion if the activities or teachings of that religion are so outrageous, irrational, or abusive of human rights that they deserve to be intensely disliked?
Both are equally detestable.
