Your opinion on Athiests and religious people

I think atheists can shove their opinions down peoples' throats just as much as Christians are rumored to.
I think Christians can be ignorant, outdated idiots.
I think atheists can get defensive.
I think you'll hear an atheist tell you why God isn't real before you'll see a Christian pray.

These are just things I've observed.

People who wanna cause troubles and fights will do it and find an excuse for it no matter what . Its not about whether you are a theist or an atheist, both groups can live peacefully if they do not force their opinion about the existence of God on the other.
Most annoying thing about an athiest - Fack god even though god doesn't exist . Abusing the religion as a whole .

It is very difficult to think of any organised human activity that could not be corrupted…The lesson is that anti-religious corruptions and religious corruptions are both possible. There is no magic system or belief, not even belief in liberal democracy, which can be guaranteed to prevent it.

I was raised as a catholic, went to catholic school for nine years, and religious people can be just as irritating as atheists who try to disprove or belittle my faith.

Bottom line; it's cool to have an honest discussion regarding the origins of all things. Whether it be God, Gods, or science. As long as it's not some spite contest trying to prove you're right. Or, saying another is blatantly wrong. Which most people on the internet and in life too, occasionally, try to turn anything regarding religion or science into.

I'm a religious person and have no fear whatsoever in believing...
None enjoys an ideal life, so even following a religion might put you in tests and hardships...

As for religious persons, they keep in believing and make the way out of that test.

This morning I went on this website called 'disclosure.tv' and I saw this title called 'Religion does more than just hurt people- it kills people'( So does cancer, stds, over-processed foods,pollution, and other diseases/illnesses)


Heres the thing...the whole 'religion hurts/kills people' argument is TIRED. I use to argue about this all the time online. I went from an ignorant christian who was constantly defending something I had very minuscule information about(Out of fear that what the athiests were saying was true), to a...i don't know what the hell i was...but then I was arguing against the Christians(out of anger and how what the intelligible Christians were saying may having correlation with recent events) Here's how I feel now about the whole thing...

If you are TRULY secure about what you believe in...why argue?Why start conflict? Truth will reveal itself...wait patiently.

Both Christians and atheists have two things in common...their arrogance...and their closed-mindedness. In my opinion.

So the question is...what's your opinion on religious people and athiests.(I'm not asking for an opinon on their belief or non-belief, but their general character.

this is exactly how i feel. if you need to validate the existence or righteousness of your god you don't really believe. how can they truly think god is almighty and eternal if hearing someone question him makes them so defensive and afraid? by constantly trying to prove the existence of god through logical or scientifical or even religious arguments they nullify belief and turn god into something debatable. belief is not debatable and religion shouldn't be debatable, if you really believe in god you don't need to debate or argue anything.

and scientist are exactly the same, just on the opposite spectrum. they defend theories or laws of nature and constantly claim they know exactly how the world works and everything is solved. god doesn't exist because science doesn't include him and science is god and irrefutable. scientists very quickly forgot how in the end of the 19th century all of them claimed physics "solved". and now 100 years later we know we are not even close. we still have holes in science, stuff doesn't work completly, we don't have a theory of everything and barely have a candidate. everything physics book is wrong and every law and theory can change at any point. resistance to change is not something you want science to have.

You made several great points, but the ones in bold are the best part.Truth remains the same, until it changes.

Life is about change, i believe. Anything that doesn't change remains stagnant. No advancing. No progression. No evolution. It becomes corrupt.

Correction,

By labeling yourself a 'Christian' or 'atheist' you're limiting your self, thus making you closed-minded.

By referring to yourself as 'athiest', you're saying you aren't open to the idea that god exists. Still closed-minded.

That's what religious,sexual, and racial labels are for, sir. Limitation, stigmas, stereotypes, and most importantly...division. By causing division, they are preserving hatred and ignorance among the masses. Don't fall for it.

It's simply a tactic used by elites.

Why adopt such ridiculous labels.

Edit: By labeling yourself based off of what you believe in is basically arrogance, as well. Labeling yourself because you believe your ideology is worth mentioning. You're proud of it. Pride is another word for arrogance, in my opinion.
