Basically just look back and see what manga/anime you started with and work your way to the present day. You don't have to list everything in order - just use intervals or segments if you want.
Eg. mine would probably start with yu-gi-oh, pokemon, DBZ, a tiny bit of Naruto, and digimon as my "first era".
After that I really started watching Naruto and eventually getting up to date in the manga. I also got Death Note and even Onani Master Kurosawa
rolleyes into my list.
My current status deals with reading all the "big manga" out there and trying to get as much as I can into me. These include the more unknown ones like the Liar Game, Shingeki no Kyojin, Monster and Gantz (although these are getting popular), along with others like Elfen Lied, akame ga Kiru and recently Soul Eater + Good Ending.
