[Discussion] Your first and current opinion on BB

At first he busts out a pretty funny scene with Luffy and then he gives one of the best speeches in the series.
I rly liked him at first,felt he would be a great character (which he is because he is so hateable now xD) but then later on he turns into a bipolar wimp where one second he is brave then he wimpers then he laughs then he is shocked xD.
Atm he is my least liked character (not because he is a bad character but cause he is so good at being the bady guy with killing ace and wb :| ) but back then he was pretty kewl ._.

I just want Burgess to get the mera mera no mi, so it would boil up the conflict with BB even more. Luffy does plan to take on all 4 yonko anyways.

I thought he was interesting the first time around, didn't really love or hate him.

He's to me meh. I like Crocodile more you know. Marshall D. Teach doesn't have that badass attitude that most of the villains have.

I don't really like BB's character. I think one of the main antagonist should be a hardass and not scared to kill anybody

I thought he was pretty cool at first, especially with that speech about dreams he made before Luffy went to the Sky Island. But then after the capturing of Ace that led to his death and killing his comrade for power, the guy is a d*ck. I think he's a good character though, he's like the guy who shouldn't have made it as far as he has to me so I think he makes for a good antagonist.

He is one of my favorite characters from One Piece. I like the fact that he is a real pirate.

At first I think he was a bit stupid, that speech about dreams was awesome though, but then when we learned that he stayed with WB just to get protection and eventually get the Yami Yami no mi, made him cool and then when we found out that he planned to be a shischibukai just to go to Impel down made him even cooler and now that he's a Yonko with 2 DF's I like him, he's a really good character wuth a funny laugh.

At first i thought he was a nice guy and a goof and i liked him (he was similar to Luffy). Right now, i still like him. He's evil and a d*ck but i don't know why people hate him for that. BB is evil and good at it. He's awesome. Also, he has the best laugh and is the only real pirate in the series.

Blackbeard is an awesome character when you get pass your hate for him, he and Luffy are similar in so many ways and at the same time they are different the whole Blackbeard and Luffy arguing over the Pies and drink was a perfect example. They are both going for the same thing yet they have different ways of achieving it.

Blackbeard is not a wimp he prefers not to fight in certain situations because it might cause his 'main' plan to go off course take Ace for example Blackbeard did not want to fight him but he still beat Ace and fairly.

He's also flawed his arrogance and over confidence tends to make him underestimate people but at the same time he is actually smart.

I think a lot of people hate him purely because he beat Ace and killed Whitebeard.

Isnt that sort of the point tho,you need to hate the villain.It would be kinda weird for Oda to want us to like the main villain who took out some of the best characters in the series.He is a very well done character I agree,and its because he is so well done that he is so easy to hate

From not mind to hate.
But he is still a mere man following his dreams.

I like his character. Why hate him? He's no saint, he's a pirate. It's normal for pirates to be unfair, lack integrity and be selfish. It's the Straw Hats, WB and Red Hair pirates that are unusual.

He gives you a sense that he is a real pirate with legit goals and even if he is a scumbag (thats how pirates are depicted anyway) hes not some bully trying to kill vibes like bellamy and previous main villains. He is a great character, that doesnt even need any back story or development which makes for a great final boss, whichh seemingly will be his role somehow
