Fine, he was described as being brave and passionate, and he built much of Konohagakure's infrastructure including the ANBU system and the Academy. He did everything he could for the village and cared deeply for it, that's enough to be admirable.

Also, if you've just come to pick at people's personal preference, don't bother.
