even by dbz's simplistic writing, it showed good character growth and development and had nice twists along the way

It's tough for me to pick a favorite I lean more towards the Buu Saga over the Cell Saga. I think the story in the Cell Saga was better not to mention Gohan raping Cell and the Cell Jr's. But I really liked all of the action and complete devastation of the Buu Saga. I mean the Buu Saga was the only one that I felt the Z fighters were in a hopeless situation and every time they seemed to pull out a small victory Buu would come back stronger and more evil than before.. plus who didn't like Buu wiping out all life on Earth with a single attack on Kami's lookout.
